Old Post Industrial Revolution Tech Tree Discovery *SPOILERS*

The level of complexity in this thing is orders of magnitude more awesome than anything Bethesda ever dreamed off
 
This is true after all it is modeled after old school point and click adventure games and those things were like a nightmare. Stupid rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle.
 
so... anyone here discovered what to do with archimedes uplink, Cfinder Schematics, synced transponders?
 
ok, i dont know if it's a joke but, the observatory found a probably sattelite doing morse code.

the translation (that i found) is : STUCKUPHEREPD

Yea, there's 2 of those messages, the next one says "send help" or something like that.
 
I have my own theory about that "Red Star" as the terminal calls it. From what I have decoded the message when both parts are put together is "Stuck up here please send help" there may be some minor translation error at the end of the stuck up here part. Anyway what if this "Red Star" is not a satellite ,but actually the the flashing light placed atop tall buildings to keep planes from hitting them.
 
Now that I'm looking at it I think my translation is majorly incorrect. The first entry made about the "Red Star" has the message: E A S E S E N D H E L P ,and the second one seen is: S T U C K U P H E R E ,but then you get to the last few characters and hit a problem because of the line split meaning it could ether be (.-)(-.)(-..) or (.--.)(-..) if it's the first it would translate to A N D but if it's the second it comes out as P D. So there is ether more to this message or P.D. stands for something could be initials or an abbreviation. Or I'm just over thing a terminal entry because the R&D update made me super paranoid.

this PD i think could be RD (Research and Development aka part of the enclave)(Kinggath could have made a mistake), and i think its a satelite because if you didn't completed the weapons research quest it will say that the weather is blocking the vision and cant see anymore the red star and he wishes that it would be nice to have i way to control the weather.

I'm stuck at the exact same thing as both of you, except how did you acquire the Encrypted Schematics? I think that I used a console command to obtain them, then used the Mr. Genius robot to decrypt them.

I've spent dozens of hours playing with the Industrial Revolution buildings, the quests are difficult to figure out even with liberal usage of console commands.

How many of these quests are unfinished? I don't want to spend countless more hours on a wild goose chase.

We definitely need a "Super Detailed Objectives" option that is On by default.

you get these schematic from the solar tower, the last entry (the one joking the appearence of the c finder).
 
To be honest I think it's

E A S E S E N D H E L P (With a P L missing from Please send help)

and we are grasping at straws.

Still probably a hint, somewhere high? Mass Fussion? Trinity Tower? Can't remember if I did trinity tower recently on 3.3.2 or it was before 3.3.0
 
There is a quest with the distillery also, has anyone figured out how to activate it or is it unfinished? The quest objective is just "Figure out what happened".

Yea, but probably it's not in the game yet. Medical Quest was there too before it was added in 3.3.1
 
I drank from the distillery, woke up in a bed that I couldn't get out of without toggling clipping, then drank from it a few more times and didn't see any change in the quest. I think you have to wait 24 hours between blackouts.

Apparently I'm too dumb for these quests even with Simple Objectives turned on.
 
I will let you guys know that the only unfinished quest is the Computer Research Assistant. I finished that one up to the point to get access to the decryption tool, which you have all figured out is relevant elsewhere. :)
 
About solar panels and solar tower

You don't need too many. 8 Large seems to be enough but they need to be aligned. You will know by the light that is reflected by them. See picture, notice how some don't reflect light, those are not aligned.
