Wait, you can train settlers!? Do I just assign them to the entertainment plot and their stats will go up?Use the vit-o-matic and use people with the stats for the department you need. And yes their job will go unoccupied until you reassign it or another settler comes.
I've set up Starlight with all the training plots and now I'm just beefing up settlers to send to HQ in the future, once it will actually let me build some bedrooms. You really only need about 6 settler to run a self sustaining settlement (1 food, 1 comm, 1 caravan, 1 power, 2 guards, 1 water if you can't build purifiers.) That's room for 10-12 idles settlers to train and get conscripted to theNew-Enclave RegimeNew Commonwealth People's Government Semi-Clean Official HQ Building.
Once the Scrap Logistics mechanic is fixed that is.
There are seven other "subtypes" of Recreational plot besides "Entertainment", one for training of each of the seven SPECIAL stats. Over time, every settler assigned to it will gradually increase in the related stat (to a max of 10, I think?)Wait, you can train settlers!? Do I just assign them to the entertainment plot and their stats will go up?
Yep. There are 1x1 int and cha, interior and 2x2 for everything, and a 3x3 for agility which may be the absolute worst use of a 3x3 area. Most named settlers will already have 2-3 good stats though, and ghouls almost always have a 10+ INT so put them on the power plants.Wait, you can train settlers!? Yeah but I just used mala for temp leader to get what I needed done then redid mansfield to leader that was the only way I could get 60/60 energy cause any other way was like 54-59 max.what happened to mansfield? Isnt he leader of the facilities dept?
Hmmm if there's only 1 food settler wouldn't it take more? If i remember food plot only produces 3 food unless upgraded...and they won't upgrade unless happiness can go up...and happiness won't go up unless food is satisfied...Use the vit-o-matic and use people with the stats for the department you need. The caravan will supplement you with food from other settlements. And the farm plots make more food if you put someone with some END on it. My castle has 20 settlers and 1 interior advanced farm with a 10 END minuteman assigned and makes 49 food, more than enough for the whole place.Hmmm if there's only 1 food settler wouldn't it take more? Yeah if you max the settlers special skills for the plots you get crazy numbers. The caravan will supplement you with food from other settlements. And the farm plots make more food if you put someone with some END on it. I wouldn’t be trying to give advice if it wasn’t working for me already.
Wait, advanced farm!? 10 END? How do you get it!?The caravan will supplement you with food from other settlements. And the farm plots make more food if you put someone with some END on it. There are "Advanced" and "High-tech" subtypes of Agricultural plots as well as Municipal: Water, Municipal: Power, and Martial. They unlock based on either having enough of the prior tier to Level 3 and/or meeting a specific Unique Settler for each that'll unlock them for you.Wait, advanced farm!? 10 END? How do you get it!?
A few level 3 basics will unlock advanced. A few level 3 advanced will get you hi-tech. I’ve got a named npc (Archon) with a 13 INT operating a nuclear plant for almost 300 power. The medic protectron from stodges group has stupid high Per so put him on water. Hot key that vit-o-max, it’ll be your best friend.Wait, advanced farm!? 10 END? How do you get it!?
Am I doing everything wrong for the game? Should I just restart from scratch!?
One of the minutemen that retook the castle with me had a 9 end, i trained him up one. Another of them, a minutewoman, had a 9 agi, she’s on a checkpoint now providing 85 def all by her lonesome.Wait, advanced farm!? 10 END? How do you get it!?
How long does it take to improve one point in stat? There are "Advanced" and "High-tech" subtypes of Agricultural plots as well as Municipal: Water, Municipal: Power, and Martial. For stats, you can assign someone to the correct Recreational:Training subtype and they'll slowly improve in that stat over time. Can also give them equipment with bonus stats, but that is a bit finicky as to what it will or won't count.
From memory it was mathematically possible to exceed 75 Food production from a single settler, although it took a lot of time and effort.
A few days at least. How long does it take to improve one point in stat?
Thanks! Does the training/recreational plot need to be powered in order to function? I see in workshop mode they say they do, but in view detail screen it doesn't say so...A few days at least.
it needs power to upgrade. it will function at level 1 with no power but will never train more than 1 or 2 settlers at a time without upgrades. Thanks! good choice, spectacle has a based population 10 higher than any other settlement (20+Cha) so you can set up a huge training center. maybe go with 2 food plots.Thank you.
Time to turn spectacle island into a settler training academy!
Do I really need food and water taken care of if I don't care about their happiness?good choice, spectacle has a based population 10 higher than any other settlement (20+Cha) so you can set up a huge training center. maybe go with 2 food plots.
Be careful tho, spectacle is close enough to castle and warwick that they will all try to load if you get in between them, so if you've built either of those up only use fast travel, don't try to run from one to another. I built up all 3 once and it made Atom Cats inaccessible.
If you want the plots to actually be able to upgrade beyond level 1, yes. Plots require food/water/defense HUD meters to be full in order to upgrade, as well as happiness above 70 or 80 (depending on which level of the plot it is).Do I really need food and water taken care of if I don't care about their happiness?
yes, if they get to 0 happiness they'll give you the finger and kick you out, and you'll lose all your hard work, for a while at least.Do I really need food and water taken care of if I don't care about their happiness?
