Hotfix 1.0.0e for Sim Settlements 2

Thanks for all of the hard work.@Kinggath do you think Fallout 4 will be able to actually be stable in downtown Boston on Series X/PS5? I've got about 35 mods, and after 14 hours I finally made it to downtown Boston and can't go more than 5 minutes without crashing. Bethesda really should be ashamed of how this game was released. Downtown Boston doesn't work even with 0 mods.
gopher has a mod for the xbox that helps with the frame rate and stability in that area. think it way tones down the shadows and effects there.

I just confirmed personally, using the live build of 1.0.0e, the plot menu appears after Stranger gives you the objective. Though if you didn't start a fresh game from the New Game option, you will likely need to wait several minutes after first loading up with SS2 to allow it to handle all its setup.

One of the ways we made SS2 so much faster code-wise is by using a caching system, but that caching takes some time to do. We assume for most folks, that time will be masked by them doing the early game sequence - so if you skip that, you've got to give SS2 some time to prep itself.
Is started a new game. let the full opening play out and that did make the stranger show up but the residential asam plots still dont show up in the build menu.

I have also started a new game, let it all play out and built the transmitter and waited...and waited...and waited. Three other settlers showed up but no signs of The Stranger. So, for me, version e must be broken.

Is it possible that the 1.0.0e archive file on the Nexus is somehow corrupted or incomplete? That's the only logical explanation I can think of right now...

I completely cleaned out my loadorder, using nothing but UFO4Patch, CanarySaveFileMonitor, HUDFramework, WorkshopFramework, SS2+ Extended and the 4 Addons, and finally StartMeUp. Started a new game, skipped pre-war Santuary via StartMeUp, cleared out the Vault, went to Sanctuary and cleared it, picked up the Magazine, built and powered up a Beacon. Stranger appears, hands me the ASAM. SS2 category in the build menu appears, without the residential plot category.
I'll give it another half hour or so, but I doubt it will fix itself, because I'm already starting to see errors in my save files (checking them with Fallrim Tools), which never happened for me with the previous versions.

I apologize for being persistent, but I believe something is definitley not right here!

(Edit: With 1.0.0d, using the exact same procedure, the SS2 setup is already finished on my mashine when the Stranger arrives and the residential plot option immediately shows up in the build menu as soon as I receive the first ASAM. And no errors in my save...)

Concur with tot3sch - started a new game, played through the Vault, and after the Stranger appears the residential/agriculture/industrial plots don't show up in the SS2 workshop menu (though junk storage, spacers, etc. do). Running FO4SE, HUDframework, Workshop Framework, SS2 extended, pra's random add-on, and ruined home & gardens.

I followed the procedure. Then I wait, and wait, and do a lot of things (build, fast travel, combat, sleep), and wait again, more than an hour of game trying the damn menu show up, but nothing. Its not appear to repair itself...

Im not having this issue with the plots. But I use the Settlement menu manager. Ive always thought that mod to be mandatory for Simsettlements. Perhaps that will fix the issue?

Thanks for the answer kinggath, but i run some other tests this day and:
  • Rolling back to 1.0.0d, brand new game, full mod setup -> everything ok, tested up to "if i had a hammer" with zero issues
  • Minimal mod setup (All DLC, MCM, SS2 1.0.0e with requirements, UF4P, F4SE and ENB with no effect), brand new game -> residential menu not showing

Attached my saves for the test with the minimal modlist and INIs, hope this can help (And by the way, the support and the community for this mod are awesome :good )

i also encountered this issue.. started a new game. with ss2 loaded but the menu never appeared after i left the vault and i let it run for better part of 30 miuntes.tried uninstalling and inreinstalling mod.. no go.. but the april quest popped up when i was in castle still invisible or underground so i cant speak to her..

i made a new save, waited a few mins to let scripts finish then put down the recruitment radio beacon, Jake did show up and give me the mission but the residential plot did not show up. I then snuck into concord and nabbed the holotape in jakes place and used that to cheat unlock stuff but still no plots show up

I've just upgraded on the xbox and now every time I try to save the game it does a CTD. Only change has been upgrading both Workshop Framework and SS2 to the latest versions. Am going to do a full cache dump, etc and see if that helps.

After today's update, everytime I enter workshop the game crashes after a few minutes or if I try and donate workshop???
Also the first mission for the Ron is a bit glitchy as everytime I pick up the holotape from the chest the mission doesn't do anything from that point and I cant read or listen to it???
Ron does nothing if I go back to him with it... am I missing some thing?
Any help would be great..
Otherwise everything else is fantastic with the mod

I got the last version of SMM and the
plots are not in the workshop...

Yeah, ive got another issue now. Plots are not snapping to preplaced foundations. I decided I would preplan sanctuary out, placed a bunch of foundations (11 homes/jobs), and stairs for them. They snapped for the first 7 or so, then stopped snapping. They still snap to each other, but not easily.

This update kind of broke my game. I wasn't able to save the game at all without a CTD. However, a rollback to 1.0.0d worked.

No dice. After doing a "pulled the plug for ten minutes" cache flush it still immediately crashes when trying to do a manual save. This is from the save that was working perfectly before the latest patch upgrade. I load the save, immediately attempt to save, and it crashes out. Unfortunately, this makes the game unplayable in its entirety for now. Having said that, I do feel the need to say how much I loved SS1 and SS2 so far. It's awesome! Just need to get the kinks worked out.

Still can not advance the Memory Lane quest past the roaches scene
