Solved Holotape not in game

Hello!

New here. so if this is in the wrong place, let me know.
I just installed the mod through Vortex. Followed the instructions and everything. However, the holotape isn't in the location in Concord, and when I use the console command for "help "city manager" 4" it doesn't exist.
I then uninstalled it, manually installed the mod, same problem. Tried loading an old save outside the Museum in Concorde, still nothing - neither console commands work, or is it in its place on the 3rd floor.

I looked through the forum for similar threads but none of that helped :(

Maybe someone can help?

Is WSFW above SS?

I am using SS2 but if you are using SS1 it still should have the same placement.

Did you pick up the magazine on the workbench in Sanctuary? I think the tape does not spawn in until you pick it up. If you have, the tape is not inside the museum anymore. Its in the hardware store just outside the door in the window, if you don't want to do the story quest with The Stranger, the guy who shows up after you pick up the magazine and build a radio beacon.

If its still not there, i think the mod failed to launch so you might want to reload a save.

I know this helped me to learn the differences between SS1 and SS2. Time stamp 25:20 shows the location of the quest bypass tape.

I think the OP is using SS1?

As REF, "the magazine on the workbench in Sanctuary" just provides the resources to create the beacon to summon Jake.

At least that is what it did months ago in testing?

hahahahaha, still a darn good post. I hope folks do migrate to SS2 as it is a better starting point and the future of the mod. :drinks

Thank you everyone! I will take a look and see if anything mentioned here works.

I have the SS1 because that is what was in the Nexus. I didn't know of this website when I downloaded the mod. Should I maybe download the SS2 and try with that?

I also don't use Workshop Framework because it was never mentioned as necessary for SS1 in the Nexus.

Thing is, even if it wasn't in the locations, it should show up as an object when I write the console command! But it doesn't exist there which means it doesn't exist in the game in general. If it was in the game and I simply couldn't find it, it still should show up when using the console command.

1, yeah, I would go with SS2.

2, "Thing is, even if it wasn't in the locations, it should show up as an object when I write the console command! But it doesn't exist there which means it doesn't exist in the game in general. What comes to mind then is to hit the manual DL on the Nexus and drag it over to the mods Tab. Could be a bad DL?
+ Make sure your game version is up to date?

My game version is 1.10.50.0.1 Is that good enough?

So I 've updated it to 1. 10. 163. 0.1. or something like that. It should be the newest one and I think it finally worked. Now when I went to Sanctuary, there was a magazine on the workbench and as I read I now have to build a recruitment beacon and then talk to someone who arrives?
