Early on in the Main Quest of Sim Settlements 2, The Stranger asks why you've taken an interest in settlements.
Most people I've watched, including me, seem to select the option "Help others" in response. However, there's a slight problem with the voice line. For the female Sole Survivor, it sounds slightly defensive, but mostly fine. However, there's an inflection on the male VA's read that makes it sound like he's asking it as a question, or about to throw in a "but..." afterward. If the female line sounds defensive, the male one sounds downright apologetic, like someone just told them off, and now they're feeling ashamed. Now, this probably wouldn't bother most people - after all, it's a quick line and things move right on past it pretty quickly - but I hear it every time I watch the scene, and it's started to drive me nuts. Also, it's a really simple fix.
All I'm asking is for a swap in the prerecorded lines.
Take out this line: 001646ea_1.wav - "I want to help people."
Replace it with this line: 000c45ce_1.wav - "It's always good to help people."
Then change the subtitle text to match. These lines were recorded with a more confident tone for both VA, and don't make either version of the Sole Survivor sound like they're doubting their own answer. Since the prompt for the response is "Help others", they'll still fit the original prompt, and convey the same meaning. The Stranger's response will still make sense. It'll just give the dialogue a more natural sounding "read".
