Question Help making faction pack?

TLDR

I'm trying to make a halo themed faction. The mods I wanted to pull assets from for the faction were misraiah armory for weapons, helljumpers and mark vb for weapons and armor for troops. There would be two special units, SPARTANs and ODSTs, but first I need my default solider: the Marine.

The marine workshop file I made had an outfit file for the armor from helljumpers, and a leveled list for weapons in the misraiah armory. I added a combat knife (vanilla), to give the soldiers a melee option. After loading the faction the soldiers appeared naked and only had the knife instead of the ma5's they should have started with and the Marine Armor from helljumpers.

The problem is similar to a roofless convertible, it 'works', but the main gimmick of the faction is completely defunct. I've been struggling with this for two weeks now and there are NO sites, videos, or guides that go in depth on making a faction pack using armor and weapons from a mod.

Thank you for any help given.

I assume you have permissions to use assets from other mods.
I have never done a faction pack, but hope the few things I can suggest maybe point you in the right direction, until someone else with more knowledge on this subject comes along.

Have you set up an outfit record? And pointed that to the assets you want to use.
I did play around with actors a little bit in the Ck a while ago, and like you, ended up with nude npcs coz I missed the outfit record.
Then I think you need to point your faction npc record to the outfit you have set up.
You also need levelled lists to point to the weapons etc. (But I dont know how you get assets from other mods into that list)
I know this is a very sparse answer, but it may help to start with. I suggest you join the SS Discord for more detailed help.

’ll leave other tutorials to teach you how to create custom Outfit records or on how to handle making an Outfit use leveled lists for some randomization, I’m just going to show you how to take an existing Outfit and add it to your faction. (If you need help finding such a tutorial, don’t be afraid to ask on SimSettlements.com’s forum or our Discord!) 1. In the Object Window, expand Items, and click Misc Item, then filter for your Faction Control Data and open it up. 2. Open the Properties screen, and find CaptiveOutfit property under the Equipment section. Double-click this and find the Outfit form in the dropdown list. Yeah it’s that simple. In fact, throughout the rest of this document, I’m just going to shorthand these steps to say something like: “Open your Faction Control Data, and set the CaptiveOutfit property to the outfit you want.”. If that sounds scary, you probably haven’t been actually following along with the tutorials - because by now you should be intimately familiar with that properties screen!
