Fixed Going to certain school BUG - quest doesn’t fire

Solution
If the quest Runners and Gunners isn't starting - it may be due to an alias issue - we were referencing a vanilla NPC that depending on which mods you had installed may have been removed or disabled preventing the quest from starting.

This version resolves that alias issue: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZK-k7uiUQFGC48ndJaHHvcDQ9R2CDclu/view?usp=sharing

Installing this will attempt to auto-boot the quest on an existing save, but if that doesn't happen for you - you may want to roll back to the save before you started C2 and try again.
Did you update the "Chapter 1" part too? He mentions having had to make sure that was up to date (it got a new version today too) before the Chapter 2 start quest would trigger.

Similar issue. The quests proceeds and I get a map marker to the next location but when I enter, the marker shows I need to exit again - like I used the wrong door. Inside there are Brotherhood fighting with Gunners and no sign of the NPC that is supposed to challenge me on entry. Also no sign of Aiden on entry so it appears I'm being sent to the wrong location. After reviewing my list of mods, I can't find anything that should be changing that interior location.

Alright, it's going to have to wait until I've downloaded it myself to test a few things... which at this rate is still going to be at least another 6 hours. :(

Could any of you having this issue send me your .fos save files? You can upload them to a google drive account or something similar, make them public, and DM me a link.

I just played through to that quest and it came up fine with the objective to meet Aiden, so I'm guessing there's a mod conflict we need to suss out here!

Or, CC? Is that possible? I have so few mods due to space. Like Place Anything and a few tiny things. I might just try it with nothing to see what happens

Definitely could be CC as well. If I get a few PC saves having this issue I can compare the load orders to find what's in common. Whatever it is, I'm sure we can work around the issue - just need some specifics on it.

so I made a new profile and started the game over with practically no mods except sim settlements annnnd it worked just fine. tomarrow I will try to test it with all the same mods and see if its just the save is corrupt for some reason.

For anyone in my situation (unable to enter the correct version of Vault 75), I may have found a partial workaround (if you have access to console commands). Open the console and type the following:

player.moveto 0f02fe5a

That should take you into the correct version of Vault75 and allow you to reach Jake, etc. However, Wise does not spawn so you'll end up having to kill the Gunners rather than bluffing your way in. Also, I can't be sure it won't break the questline so definitely save your game before you try this. Again - this is only for people who were able to advance the quest to the point where are supposed to enter Vault 75, not the folks where Aiden become unresponsive earlier or the quest won't even start.
