Huge fan of this mod. It's the most "realism-friendly" method of dealing with the tedium of looting scrap I've seen.
It would be great if, once the player has joined a faction, they were able to replace the rags wearing salvagers with salvage teams from their faction. Minutemen soldiers, Brotherhood scibes, Gen-1 synths, or Railroad agents (they'd just look like regular people, but with better weapons and ballistic weave clothing).
I have a Minuteman themed settlement with everyone decked out in Militia hats, combat armor, and laser muskets. It's got a central control tower with the radio station (which in my head controls both the salvage beacons and FCOM reinforcements requests). But whenever I use a salvage beacon the settlers just sorta stick around a while and look totally out of place. It also just makes more sense to send armed soldier types out into the wastes for salvage, given how many dangerous enemies there are.
In the end it's not a big deal either way but it would be a great little addition.
