The 3rd power pole (street lamp) in the menu causes a ctd for me.
I'm on version 1.0.1 + extended at a new playthrough with this version

thanks for the good work of this team

I recommend getting the check power grid utility from here.

After you have that, go to the settlement where you crashed, bring up your console and type in "cpg" (without the quotes).

Most likely, it will tell you one of your power grids has a bug. If so, type "cpg 1" and it will disable the bad power grid. You will have to remove and replace all the wires, but it should eliminate the CTD from messing with power objects in that area.

I also recommend reading up on the problem with power grids that is inherent to fallout 4.

It got me ctd'ing consistently with the settlement flag power pole. Tried one other which I can't remember, just to check if it was just the one or not, it crashed too.

while i absolutely appreciate your intent to help, the actual problem here is not the power grid, it's a model error in sim settlements 2.

when in the menu to change the power pole for a plot:

the third option, Power Pole - Street Lamp, will cause a CTD as soon as you move onto it.

edit: also this thread is technically a duplicate (for all that it's the one i at least found first). there one other thread about this.

edit2: looks like a hotfix has been released which claims to address this, and i missed it in my search.
