Discussion [Community Idea] ♣Plot Ideas / Requests♤ Thread & Google Sheet

It’s quite possible to create a residential plot with space under/over for an internal plot of some kind. Or vice versa.

Iirc there’s an addon out there with workshop-placeable shacks, that might have places for plots to go.

I've done some where I build a building with int residential and commercial. I was just looking for more "lazy" player plots, lol

Rites: there is the vfx downtown plots add-on that I believe are supposed to have space for interior plots, like their residential apartment buildings, and some martial plots having space for housing too. I honestly just downloaded it and am about to try them over time.

To both you and Whisper: Settlements Scrappers have some industrial and commercial plots called “lower (insert name of plot)” that are one story buildings with a roof that serves as the second floor.

And there is also the previously mentioned Robotsmells plots that on Xbox were made available only through one of the mega packs. This one has a ton of smart ideas. House with a bar, double occupancy house, a 3x2 mini mall with space for interior plots, shops intended to be placed in order to form a shopping strip... It’s just not available on Xbox as it’s own add-on.

For now these are the ones I can remember seeing on Xbox. Although I’m always searching and hoping to find new ones.

Thanks, writing a list for future playthrough. Had a game crashing bug in last playthrough just as I was starting to see if running 2 factions at once was an option. Had to clean all mods up and start over, so I'm gonna try again and figure it out.

On what console are you playing?

Edit: I’ve just learned to look at a profile page. You seem to be on Xbox. If that’s the case, I would highly recommend a few mods for their content vs size of file: Sir Lach’s intimate space and his Ultimate defenses plots. The first one is 15 interior plots for 72.5 kB... that’s insane!!! The second one is 20Mb which is still a solid small add-on.

If you aren’t using junktown lite (which shaves 80mb from the main version but somehow has the same content???) at least grab his interior plots add-on. It’s aimed at narrow spaces and is mostly hobo inspired but is again a very light download at 131kb. If anything this seems to prove how useful and Xbox friendly interior plots are.

VFX downtown add-on is about 10Mb. If the interior plots work well this could become a staple in my list.

On a personal note, Flotsam and jetsam has so many interesting plots (35 total) crammed into 50mb that I would have a real hard time not using it. Plots intended for water can be hard to get to a place they look right but I personally think it’s worth the effort.

The previously mentioned Wasteland Venturers that has the two 3x3 agricultural with internal plot space. It’s 115 mb for 59 buildings, a lot of them very creative, which makes it a pretty great addition.

If you have an extra 5Mb open, Sim Towers is an interesting addition. It’s only one plot, a motel with guests.

And if you feel you lack industrial options, it’s hard to beat Industrial City at 63.27 mb for 35 plots, 29 of them industries.

I’ll list some others I’m using, maybe you’ll be interested in some, but at this point I can’t be recommending them for size, it’s really a matter of preference and what styles you’d rather use.

IDEK’s logistic station, because I was sad I didn’t have a plot for provisioners (side note in case you don’t know what this is, check it out it does a lot, even if it’s only an outside and inside version of the same plot for 15mb).

Creations by Coots. 95mb, 13 plots, 10 city planning desks and 4 leaders with their own flags. Housing on a branching path... I use every plots l, desks and leaders... I just like everything in it. Also has a unique combo of 1x1 and a 2x2 martial plot that I like a lot.

Wasteland Venturers 2 is too big. It’s 250 mb for a mere 44 plots, I can’t find a good enough explanation to say it should be in anyone’s list. It’s still on mine. And every time I’m thinking of dropping it for something else I can’t convince myself to do so. Even though it would create me space for a lot more...

Sim Homestead. It’s the most likely one to be dropped next for something else. 55 Mb for 19 plots, and they are good plots, but I end up using only like 3 or 4 of them. They don’t fit the aesthetic of any settlement I’m making. Not a bad one and I LOVE their fish farm.

The mega pack year one-new buildings only. When I dropped the mega pack year one I grabbed as much as I could of the add-one I liked and I was super pleased to see this! I like it, even if slightly heavy at 65.75 mb.

Sim Settlements scrappers. Undecided. I just started trying it, i love the lower power/water/shops to build on top but it’s 139 mb for 18 plots... I’m having a hard time convincing myself I like it that much... the other plots will decide it when I try them.

Vault-Tec Tools. 55 mb for 22 interior only plans and two desks is hard to justify. But I love the 10 dynamic features so much I still recommend it. It’s a set of 6 tables, 2 diner stools, school desks and bathroom sink that when used by settlers create related clutter the time they are there. I use this everywhere I can.

Junktown lite. 105 mb for 60 plots. And a nice variety of huge, oversized and small compact efficient. Also has a combo of martial and residential war truck/trailer.

Institute Settlements. 42.5mb for only 7 plots. But I keep thinking I’ll do an institute inspired settlement at some point...

Whisper’s power plots. It’s 1 2x2 and three interior plots of varied sizes. Doesn’t produce much. But I like that it gives me some more power options I guess.

Blood Moon Raiders. I wish I was more into the raider look. Because it’s a nice pack at 78 mb for 43 plots. And the ones that don’t look too brutal I love to use. But I end up wishing there was a non-bloody/no corpse version of them because some of them would complement some settlements great... except for the corpses laying around...

Those are the ones I’m using right now. Hope it either helped you (or anyone else who bothered reading this far).

Thank you and have a nice day

Have most of those either in current load order or on favorite list for future playthroughs. Like you I eventually want to try the institute plots, and am waiting for a specific institute conqueror faction pack to hopefully be ported. There is a basic institute faction pack for Xbox, but it really is basic. The one I want to be ported has a much more reasonable story behind it, so I want to see if the mod author will change his mind about having it ported to Xbox.
