Cinematic mode and All Settlements Extended

Not really a bug, but perhaps an unintended consequence:

I have to say that cinematic mode during the initial build and update phases of a city plan are one of my favorite things. In my recent installation, I added All Settlements Extended. The center of rotation for the Cinematic Mode seems to be the center of the new total available build area, not the center of the actual settlement. So, it's very possible you only get to see your new settlement build from afar. This is most obvious in Oberland Station where the settlement was greatly extended all the way down to the water. The center of view is now in a large swath of greenery and the settlement is at one edge of the now giant plot.

While I'm at it, sometimes the camera swings really far out and my buildings clip out; not that big a deal, but maybe a setting could be added to decrease the maximum camera distance?

Turn wide shots Off in Visual. I always turn it off, as it can cause issues with the City Plan.. especially with expanded borders.
The camera is centered on the build area/sandbox volume, so expand a settlement & it changes the center of those volumes.

Wide Shots still won't handle the new center issue. The solution is going to require us to go put manual camera markers in all of the settlements, which we likely won't have time to do anytime soon.

For now, this is an unfortunate negative side to the extended settlements.

Just to follow up on this. I tried turning Wide shots off and then went back to Wide shots on as I didn't really have a performance hit from using Wide shots. (As an aside, if using the 4 seasons mod, the abundant tree foliage [I'm using the Summer version] can make it hard to see the city from afar.)

Regarding city center, it's really only with Oberland Station that I've had the issue of the city being far askew of center.

Wide shots has very little to do with performance. The problem is when a cell starts to unload and then reloads as you get closer.. then starts to unload again.. reload again....as the city is building.
If you have your render distance turned up a little, it's not a problem. The Castle and Spectacle Island (which is really bad) are the most problematic with wide shots on.

The only real issue I've ever had with ASE and the cinematic view is with Dalton Farm where, apparently, you can actually get out far enough that you zone out of Far Harbor entirely.
