Chapter 3 Input Needed! Favourite or New Robot Personalities.

I always feel sorry for the Assaultron that you find following Dogmeat to track down Kellogg.

Perhaps a salvage mission and restoration project for that bot.
Personality wise, It could always be nervous or twitchy, "fearful" of combat situations and have some difficulty moving about because repairs weren't entirely successful due to extreme damage. Head ajar, tilted to one side perhaps.
It would be a pacifist now, with preference for doing robot repairs in HQ's Robot Lab, being grateful for having been restored.
I would love to repair this guy he deserves some love
 
I've always felt bad for that poor protectron forever guarding the murder-suicide crime scene, over by Country Crossing. I know we already have Nick as the gumshoe archetype, but a tough-as-nails Police protectron that needs crime scenes solved would be neat, too. (Note that I have restarted Chapter 1 multiple times, have not yet properly reached Chapter 2, and I have no idea if the CPD have already co-opted this.)

A Construction Worker protectron who wants to know why you aren't using more union guys in your settlement building.

A Robobrain professor-type focused on post-apocalyptic ecologies. Or if you want to go the extra-creepy route, a Robobrain with a child's voice who wants to play games with you.
 
How about a very patriotic, all American Mister Gutsy but he has being badly redubbed to be very pro-HQ.
Just a thought. Aiden is the person doing the dub over. "All gunners are to be shot on sight. If you see any gunner related activity report it your nearest security personal. The only cure for gunners is death"

Extra points if someone did this behind his back and Aiden has an angry interaction with the robot.
 
A Robot that is a weird amalgamation of different robot parts and is constantly having an identity crisis
I like this last one a lot - with the Automatron DLC you could have a robot that literally has a different part from every different robot type and feels lost and can't determine it's purpose. Maybe even better that it escaped from the Rust Devils or something.

There's a sense to how he acts and talks that... idk its just something else

OH! A robot like Cayde-6 would be amazing as well, an Assaultron or something that believes they're a human, similar to a robo-brain with his personality. That'd be mwah.
 
ok got another one. a kitbashed robot that sounds like the soul survivor and insists they come with them to help them find their son.

Further to this, you could have it been an oddly similar quest to that of what you go through to face Conrad Kellogg, just with robots and synths.

A robot protectron robot salvager(undertaker) with the personality of Lurch from the 1960s adams family.

Sinth or robobrain with DID. Fair warning this will be controversial. And hard to code, especialy if the specials change To fit the personality if they are a settler ( I tried repeatedly to code one in awhile ago based on some friends of mine. They recently passed Away. They thought it was alternately silly, cute, nice, weird, and flattering when I told them about it, and some of them wanted to voice them if I could get it to work right.)
 
A robot thats a companion but is attracted by machines , like a nuka cola vending one , and will often wander off to "chat up " them , french/spanish accent too ,would be funny . Or a robot that thinks its an aeroplane or descended from one ,wearing flying jacket , goggles and a ww2 RAF pilot english accent

The Sole Survivor is Dogmeat-equivalent during the “Track Kellogg” stage.
The Robo-Kellogg is a very VERY standard Protectron. So the Robo-SS is being super dramatic and trying to interrogate the Robo-Kellogg (same lines as initial dialogue and everything) but the Protectron is just…giving standard responses. Except it’s wearing SOMETHING Kellog-esque. Like it’s dressed for the part. Leather jacket? Cyberbernetic attachments?

Robo-SS: ENOUGH! where is my baby?
Robo-Kellogg: Scanning area for hostiles. Area secure. You may now resume your normal activities.
 
An Eyebot named Witly with a British accent who insists he's a genius but is either an idiot making dumb suggestions, or is trying to get the SS killed.

"If you lay a mine and jump on it, you'll get to those hard-to-reach places in a jiffy!"
"Deathclaws might be resistant to small-arms fire, but that means melee combat must be their weakness!"
"Absorb enough radiation over time and you'll develop an immunity to it! That's how organic systems work, you know."
 
A few notable mentions from New Vegas.

I know Kinggath has mentioned the wants of a few to bring Helios One tech into the mod. One sorce for the tech might be Python, the mister handy from Helios One.
Any of the robo brains from Old World Blues.
ED-E the eye bot companion, might be one to think about being it doesn't need a voice actor and only talks in text dialog
Primm Slim/Sherrif Slim The Sheriff protectron from Primm

...which is the best idea ever and you should totally do that!
 
I think the scripting for Archimedies 2 and the C finder is in fallout new Vegas. Not fallout 4. Therefore you need FSE for things like the unsafe minimum distance safety lockout on the C finder.
 
I really would like to see a similar AI like Bagley from the Watch Dogs Legion that revealed after that Bagley was originally a human that had an accident and became disabled,i don't recall how he became the Bagley of the resistance but you got an idea anyhow. Bagley' story is very touching if you Google it and find his story in YouTube :cray https://cgameawards.ca/nominees/bagley-pascal-langdale-watch-dogs-legion/
