Castle Bugs for RotC

Woodfuzzy has the simplest solution to the radio operator thing. Make a vanilla bed, shrink it down and set it on the operator's desk, then assign the operator to it.

He won't use it but he'll have a bed then and won't suck up more room in the settlement than he already does.

Ran into a bug where at level 3 the transmitter was no longer powered on it also showed a power deficit and I have all needs shut off. Couldn't connect any wires, ended up taking out a wall and scaling down a 10 power generator to make it work. Only option.

I don't know what happened but, yesterday I restarted a new game and I just got to the castle and now I cant place plots inside. I was able to before I started a fresh game. Now the plots sink into the ground. Has anyone had this problem?

This is kind of an ongoing vanilla issue at the castle. The only way I've found to get around it is to simply place the plot and then use PE to move it where it needs to go before refreshing it one last time to make the contents update properly.

They're scrappy though... Watch out for the little guys!

Great, now I want a Minute-Man Mod that makes all the Minutemen into little people or children. I now have visions of the great Warwick Davis lugging a laser musket around Concord patrolling for mole rats.

Seem to be quite a few duplicated (overlapping) power connectors inside the walls after upgrading to L2. Refresh doesn't touch them.

OH YE GODS IT ALREADY HAPPENED!

Just like the internet rules that has the famous Rule 34 ("If it exists, there is porn of it, no exceptions") there is now a set of rules for modding. So, let's call it Rule 8, because I don't know what number we're on: "If you come up with an idea, someone already did it."

So me and the Castle just aren't getting along at all. New settlers arriving will prompt the leader to place new residential plots down, but no job plots are being placed at all. I found two obvious areas for martial plots, so I set a couple there manually then ran away for a while. I come back now with two more settlers who showed up, and suddenly one of the martial plots that was supposed to be placed automatically by the leader overlaps one of the plots I placed manually. I don't know why it took forever for that plot to appear, but it did. So I scrapped mine and left the "planned" plot in place. But I am still down -3 in job plots. I don't know why The Castle is lagging behind on job plot placement, but it is.

As an aside, I don't know what caused this, but I lost Ronnie Shaw as the super vendor she is supposed to be. I think this was caused by her becoming a leader, because now she's commandable, takes residential plots and jobs, but at no time during her normal "business hours" can you use her as a vendor. I placed a commercial plot (weapons) and put her there, and her dialogue matches all of her normal vendor dialogue, but she doesn't have the same inventory (I did the same thing for a level 3 vanilla weapon shop). The long and the short of it is, The Last Minute isn't in her inventory in either case. So if you want that Gauss Rifle, I suggest you get it from her before doing any ROTC builds where she can be made leader, as that is going to mess her up. If someone knows a fix to this, I will gladly give you two whole pats on the back. I tried removing all leader mods and it didn't fix her. I assume she is broken at this point; just another named settler.

I have a problem where anything I build in castle ctd's my game. I'm using all of sims mods, Preston is the leader of the castle. It is the only place where this occurs.

Update on this, but it resolved itself. I don't know exactly what the problem was, but for some reason it really hated putting up the martial plots as jobs at any point for any character. I actually still have one character at the Castle who is unemployed, but only one now, and the agricultural, industrial, and entertainment plots went up without issue. Once it got past all the martial plots, it seemed to be fine.

I just built the foundation of the castle city plan using Ronnie Shaw as the leader. The problem I’m having is almost all of the exterior plots are missing their ASAM sensor, meaning I can’t choose the building plan, some of the residential plots look very out of place. The interior plots are missing the sensor as well but I can still access the options looking at the floor of the plot. The only plot I could find with an ASAM sensor was an exterior industrial plot next to the entrance to the settlement. This is the only settlement I’ve experienced this at, which is why I’m posting it here.

After a few local plot/city refreshes I decided to try restart the city plan and rebuild the whole foundation level. This seems to have worked as the plots are showing up with their sensors. Hopefully they all show up properly.

It seems I spoke to soon, not all plots have the ASAM sensors and they aren’t even building, at this point I’m not sure what the problem could be, maybe using Ronnie Shaw is effecting the city plan somehow, but at this point I think I’ll just keep the castle without a city plan for now. Like I said this is the only settlement I have experienced this with.

So, I'm not sure if this is related to the fact that it's part of a city plan or just an issue with the model, but the second level of "[SH] Brick House by Eldath" from the Mega Pack - Year One is missing its floor. I've refreshed both the plot as well as the city plan and it didn't change anything.
