This is what I have found. Using the holotape (not MCM).. I can make the status panel turn on automatically when entering a settlement and it stays on, both in and out of workshop mode until I leave the settlement. Setting under HUD is status panel>never autohide. The only option I see for the resource panel which is an autohide setting only (no other choice) is > Outside of workshop mode.... So I have to use a hotkey to make it appear outside of workshop mode, an another hotkey to cycle thru the different reports. In workshop mode, 9 times out of 10, the resource panel opens automatically as per the setting. When it doesn't trigger I use the hotkey, which sometimes I need to press a few times before it will open.

Just to confirm @yosef - you have HUD Framework installed, yeah?

This is how it's supposed to work, but I need to make it more clear. (The hitting the hotkey multiple times thing is just a limitation with our hooks into Fallout 4's HUD unfortunately...)

@kinggath yes, my friend, I got it since de first SS appear in Nexus... I reinstalled it, changed the position in the load order...nothing... I think I got the last version of it, gonna verify again. It seem is only my problem (s****!) cause nobody mentioned that issue yet... feel a little fubar...
 
Is there a console command to complete The Ron's repeating Knowledge Equals Profit? Even with this fix I cannot turn in the quest.

i have more or less the same issue have tried both mcm and holotape all i want is the status bar to show out of workshop while using the workshop it functions as normal for me but out of workshop i get a 3 second blast of status bar then nothing till i reinter workshop.
 
  • Custom charge-up sound for Vito-matic now works correctly (previously it had been using the gauss rifle sound).
  • The tutorials section of the City Manager holotape should now function correctly.
  • Fixed a bug with the Street Lamp power pole from Sim Settlements so that it can be placed without Place Everywhere.
  • Old Paul will now correctly take Dog Food or meat when the player agrees to do so and Cola will then react to it afterwards.
These all work as advertised. Yea! He was driving me nuts asking for food. The street lamp works good. I wouldn't call before placable with place anywhere. Thank You!

Seriously though, thankyou to you and team for all your hard work on bugfixing. Can't be easy working within a game that has so many bugs.

On my setttings it looks like this. MCM - status meters:auto hide settings - set to Always Hidden. City mananger holo tape ; Status meters auto hide settings - set to Never .. sounds a bit counter-intuitive.. but it works 99% when I walk into settlement range. status meter triggers on the hud.

The way it is supposed to work, may not due to quirks still, is you'd set a hotkey to turn it on or off, and then set the options to never autohide. Now when you use the hotkey to display it, it should remain displayed as long as you are in the settlement.

If that's not how it is functioning currently, then there is something wrong. Though if it's never showing with any settings, as yosef is describing, than the issue is likely a HUD problem with other mods.

I suspect the same, only things in the "user interface" section I got installed are Vis-G sorting an Def Ui. I'll make some test uninstalling and see, hope the problem fix

With DEFUI you need a patch for HUDFramework. I believe it is available on the HUDFramework page under optional files.

Yes, I got it. Even the VIS G patch for SS (I think it doesn't work with SS2). Anyway, I aldready uninstalled all of them and the dear Hud continued making love to my nerves

Do the extended files require updating or are they good with whatever beta version we use?
 
i know this is a bit early to ask, but do we have an idea of a timeline on how soon chapter 2 will be coming out. i know you are still working the bugs out of chapter 1, but after the chapter 1 ending i don't want to progress too far ahead. i like the idea of i'm exploring the commonwealth with jake for the purpose of helping rebuild it.
