Hotfix 2.0.0g

The HQ system is good and fun. It does seem to need some tweaks. But the more I play, the more it makes sense.

IMO, the HQ system idea is for players to figure it out, which I like to do.

For example, I am getting all vanilla settlers out of HQ and replacing them with SS2 characters since they have better stats. This idea makes sense to me. You are told to recruit people. So why not recruit the best people?

By telling the player to recruit but not telling them exactly who, this seems like it was done by design in essance of the idea of player choice and living with those choices. Which has been a core aspect of Fallout games.

Vanilla settlers have the potential to be good staff too, if you make sure they have access to the correct recreational plots and spend enough time in that game. Had a lot of settlers with good stats in a game I used for build tests, and they give a nice balance to the HQ staff.

I have the patients of a squirrel that drinks Red bull.
But good to know. Thank you.

You only need 1 in endurance to get the toughness perk. :D
there is some fan-made explanation that because it's already 200 years after the radiation (btw in real life the radiation shouldn't be lasting this long), so that many of the humans are having trouble suffering from cancers

Not only am I a video game nerd but a comic nerd.
Every time I hear a debate about ‘lore’, I listen. Until the debate becomes too passionate.
Who is stronger, Superman or the Hulk?
About 5 minutes in people are yelling about ”facts.”
And this is my response to my fellow fanboys.
“You know this is a make-believe world that is total fiction, and the writers can do what ever they want with the story?”
To my behest, my fellow fanboys do not even break stride on the debate.
As if I said nothing because the spell of silence was cast on me from Dr. Strange.

plus that's another story for another forum, maybe they can add something about it since we are having a medical group now? (mine is bugged out so I can't continue that storyline) but yea, Chapter 2 is just HQ too complex, well I don't hate it? but certainly not loving it for this moment, they have shown us they are masters of editing the play environment at this point, so just make the HQ auto-upgrade the GNN HQ (btw IDK why they pick this name, don't make sense to me, it was GNN plaza which is the pre-war name of the place, but what is GNN HQ? the headquarters of the Galaxy News Network??? why is that the name???) as same as the Concord or a normal ASAM would do. Erase the gunner marking once it is ours, and add some ASAM posters around the place

I would bet the name change has to do with coding. GNN Plaza is a base asset and to add an asset that uses the same space, it was to be labeled with a different name. GNN HQ
Example - You can not have 2 folders on desktop with same name so the computer does this. (Folder 1) and (Folder 1 - Copy)

Just a guess.

I'm doing the same. Booting out all my low level settlers who i rushed in there to make up the difference for the enginerd energy demand.

I had 53 people running around my HQ. Aye carumba

Thing is, you have a few named npcs with absolutely ridiculous stats to start with. This skinny kid who burps with 15's or something.

Yes that I know for the modding perspective and all makes sense, but what I was saying is the name itself is not making sense, why would we call it "GNN HQ" though?

GNN is Galaxy New Networks of the pre-war, and this building was used as a Plaza for the GNN. Since now we are using it, the GNN HQ doesn't make as much literal sense, it is now not the headquarters of the GNN, rather an HQ for us.

I'm not good at naming things but names such as "ASAM HQ", "Sim Settlement HQ", "Jake's HQ"? These on the Pip-boy give a better sense to new players.

Or even simply as "the Headquarters" would work, just like how "The Castle" is a different name than pre-war as they gain control by the minutemen, or "The Institute" with the pre-war name "C.I.T.", the "Railroad HQ" and the Old North Church, you get the idea I think. :) Boston Airport is a different case because the HQ for the BOS is the Prydwen itself which is that floating zeppelin.

It IS nitpicking I know so please don't flame me over that, but if I'm talking about some naming, I think it makes more sense as further the update we will go there more and more regularly I believe.

Simple answer. It is a known land mark by the locals. No one knows where HQ is, but they know where GNN is.

I mean, you do have a Quest locator so yea I partially agree and disagree? But since they even go to the extent of changing the place icon, I don't think a brand new name would hurt...

Fair point. What would you name it?
Maybe MCGA. Make the Commonwealth Great Again! lol!
or
MCNOFA Make the Commonwealth Not On Fire Again.

I saw that Cola was supposed to be where the body was and I still cant find (him/her?) So i'm still on the lookout. Been missing since "the incident" still.
Some how I had zero issues with this one. Went there and completed quest. No issues.
Maybe my game glitched, causing it work.

I think "ASAM HQ" makes the most sense? I did make some suggestion in this reply but I mean they not THAT good
