Yet another script backlog

Hey all,

I've been -scouring- these forums and the general web to help with this issue, I've read everything I can find about what causes the scripts to backup and the game to delay and have issues as it develops. I'm getting a build up of active scripts in my saves.

So far I've done these fixes...
Increased the thread count to 30.
Followed Kingaths guide to unlocking active scripts, including terminating all active scripts.
A few others, which at this time I can't remember. It's been a lot of faffing.

It's improving a lot, but I'm still getting like 60 active scripts all related to this mod.

I have no idea how to find out what mod might be clashing and causing this issue? My save isn't ancient, but I have put a fair few hours into it now. My characters level 30-something. I've only developed Sanctuary (Assigned leader) and built up Hangmans Alley fairly heavily.

Hope someone can help, you guys might be sick of seeing these threads.

Thank you so much for this mod too, it's brilliant.

Did you use the batfile to clear up the locks? We're actually getting close to a point where terminating scripts won't be necessary any longer as I have been building in console commands to handle it from in the game.

Do you mean this? - "5. Load your save and open the console. Run the command: cqf workshopparent cleareditlock You should receive a pop-up that it succeeded." If so, yes. Otherwise where can I find it?

Thanks for doing this King, I can't believe you find the time to communicate with so many people needing help.

*Update*

It seems that my thread count wasn't updating, because I was using the city manager desk computer to adjust it. Took me a while to realize the options were in the MCM menu, where I found it was set to 10, rather than 30.

It's now maxed out and the Threadrunners have all disapeared after a couple of hours of gameplay. In addition, I also found and used the "cqf kgSIM_ThreadRunner1 clearstuckeditlock" up to 30, as you suggested in another post, Kinggath.

So far it's all working well. Another note for those who might be struggling, always leave your settlement before you terminate the scripts. That was causing me to crash on loading the save if I had still been in the settlement.

Where is the original thread for this?

Uncertain, but here's the bat file.

When this feature becomes available “please” let us know, or if I have missed it, where is the information about it?

I have woundered about it recently. Just not yet technically competent enough to formulate the question to ask about it.

It depends on what mods folks have. If they're using Workshop Framework, they should never terminate any workshop scripts any longer.

Most of Sim Settlements scripts related to threading shouldn't be terminated either.

Once I have everything switched over in all of my mods, I'll likely create an advanced troubleshooting holotape to handle stuff like this. It's going to be one of those things where no one should use it without direction - but will be a way we can help users with certain glaring problems.

Perfect! Thank you for the kind response and information..
