Question Workshop framework makes game crash

Workshop framework makes my game crash... I have no conflict mods and my load order is correct. What do I do?

One quick note... when your de-activating mods to determine the possible cause be sure to backup your current game save before you un-check any mods. Otherwise, it'll 'orphan' a ton of scripts that will be in your game save and they'll be there if you add them back in. When you find the offending mod, re-load your backup game save then just remove the offending mod or mods. That'll give you a lot less to work with resaver wise and hopefully increase the chance of keeping your current progress.

If you can post a tree-view of the suspended stacks by expanding them, it'll help to see which mods are 'hung up', such as WSFW (if it was in-line updated?).

Hope that helps.

It's ok, let's try this one step at a time. First, let's see what types of mods are 'orphaned'. I'm not really interested in 'what' they are per se, or how many- just looking to see which ones might be 'critical'.

We can try this, but the odds are it'll corrupt the game save, or if it loads the game might ctd or lock up. Be sure to wait for the video to upload and HD processing to complete, otherwise it'll be super-low res and impossible to watch.

Good luck, and let me know how it goes.
Thanks for trying to help! I did what you said. Save was not corrupted and I could load it. However the problem is still there. I launched the game with workshop framework - crash. I launched game without it - no crash. I made a new save after confirming that all mods are insalled, reloaded the game and I had to see that all mods are reinsalled, quests and items are given one more time while old once dissapeared

Good luck. I'm not familiar with WSFW and what might cause that (a crash)- I'm still using the 2.3.6b version though I might update just to see if I have the same problem. I won't be able to test if it's a problem when working in conjunction with CH2 or 3 unfortunately.

Now that I think of it... I think CH2 and 3 uses WSFW to add and remove objects in a settlelemt (ie.,. plots, etc.,.) and I wonder if the power grid has been corrupted. Does the game crash while your in a settlement? or loading into a settlement? or does it crash 'out in the wasteland' when using WSFW? Do you have SS2/3 configured to upgrade the plots while your away, or does it have to wait until your present?

It crashes no matter where I am (vault 111). I didn't change any option in SS2 and 3 because of the crashes. I can't launch the game. Even if I could I wouldn't be able because all mods get reset when I launch a save
