Aiden begins to follow me as soon as I leave vault 81 after recruiting Mansfield. He is not there initially, but if I walk away from the vault or fast travel he shows up.
I thought the glitch started when I selected which plan to use before assulting GNN, because my first play through the dialogue glitched out. But I found my save right before you choose a plan and I selected Jakes plan and did not even click on Aiden's dialogue option.
The assault goes fine and I talk to Jake and Aiden on the roof, then everything proceeds normally, he is not following me I go through all the dialogue and quests with Jake and Aiden fighting etc. Do all the HQ starter quests, up to recruiting Mansfield.
When I exit vault 81 boom Aiden is there, now I don't know if he is suppsed to be there, because you still need to go back to the HQ and assign him and Jake, but once I do that he continues to follow me.
I did find out that if I used the console command disable, I can make him disappear, but I am sure he has more quests later, and I am not sure if he will come back, LOL.
I decided to ignore this and keep playing and when I get to the point of recruiting the Nightengale Doctor, she will not path to Mansfield inside the HQ. Mansfield is in the back by the comm hub, she is in the front lobby, eventually they both start pathing around, but after 2 plus hours of waiting they rarely path to where I think they need to be. I think Mansfield is suppsoed to be standing out by the big GNN globe as he does path out there and stand. But the Doc rarely is there at the globe when Mansfield is. If the Doc does walk close to Mansfield when he is by the comm hub and I initiat the dialouge, both her and Mansfield start to walk to the lobby, and as soon as they are out of range of you the dialouge stops and the quest is broken and I have to start the save over again and hope they path to their proper areas. LOL
I have run into this pathing issue before when you initiate a quest and the quest giver starts to walk away but you are rooted. Normally you can just overcome it by letting the NPC path before doing the quest but this time with two NPC's interacting it has more moving parts.
But seriously it is most likely mods on my end, so don't bang your head against the wall too hard.
