Old Post Vanilla Game F4 Bug Help

Are there any workarounds or mod solutions for Fallout 4 incorrectly registering settlement statistics in the Pip-Boy when you are away from the settlement? This bug in the vanilla game severely affected settlement happiness scores causing them to plummet if you did not notice the error immediately and return to the settlement so that the statistics could be corrected upon re-entering the cell. I was just reminded of this problem when checking on Sanctuary in my pip-boy. It can be a royal pain in the backside to have to go all the way back to Sanctuary to correct this particularly when you play in Survival mode with no fast travel as I do.

Does this bug affect RotC settlements by resulting in hits to happiness as it did in the vanilla game?

I think having Workshop Framework installed drastically improves things and does a lot to drive out pipboy report gremlins. It's been a long time since I've had the issue that you describe. You may or may not still, however, get the problem where for no discernible reason beds no longer count as sheltered. And then happiness starts to tank. This happens sometimes most often to me in Sanctuary. But I believe the base SS mod itself has the tools to take care of this if it shows its ugly head.

Giving Workshop Framework a try. Thanks for the suggestion. It will take a little play time to see if it has an affect.

Yeah you will need to visit every settlement that you've claimed/built on to get everything working properly I found, after that it will be fine and stats will report correctly.

It can be installed mid game.
Make sure it is above SS in your loadorder before loading up a save.

I tried this out and thought it was not working then re-read your message. Above SS means loads before, yes? I wasn't careful and had it backwards. Changing the load order to load it before SS. Will re-test, it should take me some time.

Well...I now have Workshop Framework in the correct place in my load order. I then went to visit Sanctuary and checked on the bed count and everything was fine. 17 settlers. 17 beds. Then I went to Tenpines Bluff, Outpost Zimonja and Starlight Drive-in to check on those settlements. When I was getting ready to leave Starlight Drive-in I checked on Sanctuary in my pip-boy. It was reporting 17 settlers and 10 beds. :( It doesn't appear to have any affect.

I got to thinking about this and all the tutorial videos of Kinggath's and his current Let's Play series and I noticed that he does something that I never do. He fast travels everywhere. I never fast travel anywhere. I am wondering if that is why I cannot escape this bug. I play in Survival mode but am thinking of running an experiment where I only fast travel in and out of Sanctuary to see if that has an affect.

Oh yeah, that bug is at its absolute worst for survival players.
Fast travel is the turn-it-off-and-back-on-again switch for F4.

Unfortunately, after playing with Workshop Framework mod for some time I don't see that it has any affect on the Fallout 4 bug which incorrectly registers settlement statistics in the pip-boy causing settlement happiness scores to plummet. I thank everyone for the suggestions of help. It was certainly worth a try. I am going to mark this thread as solved not because it is solved for me but because I know it is out of the scope of this forum to offer fixes for Fallout 4 vanilla game bugs. I do appreciate the help. Maybe this is one of those things that will never get fixed.

Sorry you couldn't get sorted.
Next time you start another play-through install WSFW at the beginning, while it hasn't helped you this time, it does fix this problem for lots of people, me included.

Edit/ don't uninstall WSFW if you are continuing this play through, it's best left once it has been installed.
