So I'm behind on my updates but when I go to install the animal farm update the popup says it's sim settlements 2.03 ?

2.0.3 went out last Friday I think. Make sure to update both Sim Settlements core mod and industrial revolution if you use it :)

Well I did ss but the thing is I am referring to the animal farm update. Why would it say it's updating ss?

Same thing happened to me - I installed one add-on (ours, Wasteland Venturers) and NMM asked if I wanted to update another (MrJoseC's Always Free). I really don't know, but think it's an NMM bug. I clicked 'No' so that it installed 'normally' and everything works fine.

Yes, let's hope the new Vortex mod manager comes along soon.

NMM has issues. I have taken to uninstalling, then installing the new versions in separate steps, then finally running LOOT to get the order generally right.

Me too, only loot messes me up sometimes too.
After some trial and error, I had to add some custom ordering rules to a few mods. It works in general, but sometimes you just need to nudge it.

That's a good ides! I will look into doing that. It like to move my personal mods around and scrap everything which must remain at the bottom.

Scrap Everything is one of the mods I have special rules for. It gets sorted to the bottom of the list, but it breaks Red Rocket Settlements, so there is a another custom rule I have to place that after Scrap Everything. (FYI the bug is that it overwrites the Red Rocket Cambridge Location data, making it impossible to assign anyone to the settlement)

Ever wonder why a "scrapping" mod would ever overwrite a location data set? Or any other mod that seems to randomly affect another. Not sure if the vanilla game is so loose with "links" or what... I do know one thing, Beth needs to hire a freaking architect or engineer to get them to put things straight and aligned in a grid or something (I swear the buildings/houses are not square either!) ... example... player home and workshop not aligned. Looks like it... but nah. Can't place blocks or floors without something being wonked. This was an OCD thing when I first started playing FO4... hence I gave up and just build loosely... more rustic in appearance, but keeps me sane.

It doesn't conflict with a vanilla install - but mod added settlements work better after scrapping mods. I'm not entirely sure why the cell needed editing by scrap anywhere, but it was probably to make unscrappable items, scrappable.

I actually do appreciate knowing this in any event. Times are such a settlement doesn't show up in the list when I want to "move" settlers. I haven't build at the Cambridge RR so I haven't noticed.

Any issues with the Fort Hagen RR? I have noticed phasing in and out of shelving and such. Maybe this is another scrapping mod issue?

I am still on the 1.5 release, as 1.6 was buggy, but if you haven't already, clean any settlement mods you have. Otherwise, I saw no further conflicts as long as it is after scrapping mods.

Release of? RR Settlements or Scrap Everything? I went backwards from the scrap everything Ultimate because game became very glitchy with that update.

I have the latest RR... maybe go back.

For best results I have:
RR Settlements 1.5
Scrap Everything All DLC 2.2 + SE Update 2.3
