Unlocking Somerville Place

Just doing a new start / game with fresh installs... coc'd over to Somerville.. Settler just says "huh?" etc... supposedly there is a quest to unlock the settlement? Or is there an easier way to do it, example - workshop framework "Claim this Settlement"?

I think if you arrive by yourself the quests don´t trigger. You need Preston or Radio Freedom to send you there

Leave and come back. The script needs time to catch up.

There is no requirement for Somerville except the random radiant quest.

The only conflict that can occur is if you have a quest note going to the same location the radiant wants to take place at.

Thanks. Killing the dad was the only only solution I had seen.

Had a recent discussion on it last month, for some reason there is like a big script delay on him. Which if you used a console command to get there faster, you gave that script less time to run, rather than the script starting when you first entered the cell the normal way.

After discussing it for a few days trying to figure out if they got quest blocked turned out all he had to do was wait longer before talking to the guy, go figure.

I think it has something to do with that jackhole npc gets a random refid rather than a fixed one?
