I found this mod and was curious if what it claims to do would help or hinder my game with SS2.

Details from mod as follows:
"This is a simple .ini config file tweak to unlock the framerate from the standard 30 FPS. In order to unlock the framerate, after install Fallout 4 must be completely closed and reopened to apply the ini config file. This may cause some hiccups in areas with larges amounts of foliage. (I.E. Trees) This mod does not change any other settings other than the [Display] iPresentInterval changing it from a 1 to a 0. (iPresentInterval=0)"

What Xbox are you using? I am on a series S and have FPS turn down to 720 and SS2 has lowest settings possible, just to play a some what stable game.

I did a lot of research about mods even before SS2. There was a paper called "A Vault dwellers Guide to Load Orders" and is about 200 pages.
People who make mods put it together. I think it was ANDREWCX who talked about FPS mods for Xbox and PlayStation.

What they stated was they do not work. They cause more issue than they solve.

The reason was that consoles handle FPS with different source codes than PC do. MODs are built on creation engine, which is designed for PCs.
They stated that to truly address FPS on consoles you would need the source code, which Xbox does not provide and Sony locked down the PlayStation.

The mod you posted is a more up to date one, so maybe they cracked the code. Try it see if it works but be prepared to scratch all saves if it fails.
I tried them on PlayStation and could not tell a diffrance. I did get a lot of crashes.

Just an Xbox one x. I've also got it set on 720p. Seems to run everything fairly smoothly. I can wander around downtown no problems aside from the occasional stutter. Haven't quite figured out the danger zone yet. Just tried a RotC plan though so I think I'll find out.

That was actually the first thing I studied after botching my first modded game. Lol. Must have missed that part or forgotten. I had a vague memory that FPS unlocks didn't work on console but I'm continually surprised by the modding communities ability to overcome various obstacles so thought perhaps it was outdated. I'm not brave enough with my current save to try though, SS2 is running well and I'm hesitant to poke it. Lol. I was just curious if anyone else had tried something similar.
I appreciate the response, I learned a few things.
