Turrets and generators keep getting destroyed

When I leave Sanctuary and come back 1/2 the time all my turrets and generators are destroyed. Why does this happen? Is this a vanilla thing? I keep my defense high.

Do you have ss2's "maintenance costs" turned on? If the costs arent met for vanilla items it breaks them.
