Taxes

My tax days have become inconsistent since the newest patch to RoTC. I have all the vanilla settlements minus covenant and bunker hill, and at one point I was getting close to 1000 caps on tax day but it has since dwindled to 300. I do not have the option for maintenance costs turned on. Some settlements produce 0 caps per day although all their needs are met. Is it just taxing the places I have run by companions?

They have all been set to standard, I've never adjusted them. As I expanded and got more places I went from 1000 to 300 every 3 days.

you donated some caps before ? because was a bug that when you give caps your donated caps they give them back everyday and this as been fixed so maybe is beacuse of that you got less now. because 1000 caps day is too much i think.

No I have never donated caps

For some players, the counter device Sim Settlement uses gets thrown out of whack - I haven't identified the cause of this yet - every time you visit your settlements, the counters for that settlement should be re-generated.

That said, there are still quick a few quirks in the new tax/maintenance system that I'm working out, so it may turn out to be code bug that's causing the inconsistency.

What can I do to help? Would save files help?

So far, looking at save files hasn't revealed anything other than the fact that the counters are wrong.

The pseudo solution of visiting settlements to ensure that the tax counters are up to date is going to have to suffice for a while. This problem has been hitting some users since Sim Settlements was released, and my last two deep dive attempts to solve it failed so I've had to put a pin it for my own sanity.
