Primary Bug Report Suburban Disturbance - Stuck with "Check for ASAM Sensors at West Everett Estates"

I met the super mutants in the "basement" of West Everett Estates and got the quest to go find Nail -supermutant. Well I found Nail and returned, the quest "Suburban Disturbance" completes, but I'm stuck in miscellaneous with "Check for ASAM Sensors at West Everett Estates" and no follow up quest doesnt trigger.

Can I get console command to finish this and start the next quest please? I tried an earlier save and the same problem comes.

With this miscelaneous marker I got it pointing towards a Super Mutant called Sickle who has taken up residence at, but doesn't count as a settler of Red Rocket Truck Stop. When I talk to him he does respond but only with a normal greeting, no interactable dialogue. So I went and cleared out West Everett on my own anyway and there doesn't seem to be anything special in or out of the bunker. No quest has been given to me to actually go ahead with this, just the misc marker.

Edit: Additionally, I went back to USAF Olivia to see if Jake had moved, and he was still there. Not sure if theres a dialogue I missed or something to provide an actual quest for this but he also will not respond to talking. Tried attacking him to see if that would trigger anything and that didn't work either, although I was pleasantly suprised that with enough pushing, he will turn hostile.

Try talking top Sickle after telling them about Nail. He asked for something from me and when I got it he gave ASAM Sensor's. Hope this helps.
Ok so after leaving the super mutants quest did not advance. Went to the Hardware Store but Jake was not there. So went to Sanctuary and spoke to the old farmer guy sorry forgot his name and he gave me a quest. Not sure if its the one that comes after the Estates one but Jake did say it would take him a while to figure out the new ASAM stuff.

Intresting, intresting. I did give the super mutant chalk for asams.

Your fix is indeed a fix, the quest inventory is bugged and at this point the player needs to talk with the old dude to launch the quest "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie".

Strange i got that quest earlier in gameplay at same time i got the olivia one!

(doesn't work tho.. the dog doesn't have interaction)

okay so i just finished the super mutants quests! Spoiler hammer dies.. they gave me the ASAM sensors but the Misc quest didnt completed (to start off he was never marked on the map)
so now i m back in sanctuary wondering what to do next XD! gonna try a few things and will add info if any relevance found

Edit: Night of sleep and a new settler shows up with a new quest...

Start from setstage 60 part after meeting the dog, then at 80 run back to the old dude. (or might have been from 40 to upwards, dont remember).

setstage ss2_sirick_op01_cola 40 --> 80

finished the side quests e had pending (used the commands to finish dog one)
and A new Misc quest appears to Listen to Jakes private frequency (just told me this was a prev recorded message and that would repeat in 3 secs but it never does) either way a new quest starts

Yea you dont hear his message but I got a new quest after letting it run for a few min. Should be meet him at the hardware store I be leave.

I got to the basement, spoke with Skout and Sickle, agreed to find Nail, but I never got a note and the quest cannot progress. Currently, objectives for ss2_sirick_mq05b are sitting at 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 40, 50, and 60 done and the rest incomplete. I can't find the code to spawn the note and no console command finishes this quest, so I'm stuck.

This is the second time I've been stuck and it's incredibly frustrating.

You don't get the suburban disturbance quest, after talking with Sickle? In any case, this seems to be a side quest that doesn't need finishing to continue with Jake. Also, if you get handed the box of ASAMS, the quest stays locked in your data.

I completed Scavver's Delight, I got a miscellaneous quest to "Check for ASAM Sensors at West Everett Estates" which is still stuck. I have no Sim Settlement quests except this miscellaneous one and now I can't progress in the story. Whatever the next main quest is, it hasn't started yet. I'm not sure what I should be doing and the wiki is empty, so there's nothing to check against.

Update: The latest update with the "save resurrection" has fixed the issue. I guess SS2 wasn't loading properly in the background. I just got the Nail's note and the quest Suburban Disturbance popped up properly. Thanks all for the help, and the SS2 team of course.

Regardless. You shouldn't need to complete that quest in order to continue with the main quest. I know, because I let it lie in my journal for quite some time and still got contacted by Jake, before I travelled to West Everret.

I think the issue might be related to whatever the "save resurrection" is doing. Jake wasn't contacting me, I assume because whatever background process controls that and this quest wasn't enabled or working. I'm playing through now, so we'll see if Jake does end up making contact and continuing the main questline.

Where/ what is the name of Sickle's location ?


Location is North of West Everette Estates, East of Taffington Boathouse.

I gave Sickle chalk, in exchange for ASAMs.

There are no waypoint markers for Listen to Jake's private frequency & Check for ASAM sensors in West Everette Estates..

I have cleared West Everette Estates.. but nothing happens with those 2 quests.

West Everett Estates: Okay, I am amazed. I always kill supermutants without talking to them. Wow, talk to them and amazingly, they have a task for us. Funny, but not the bug I thought it was. The bug was always killing supermutants. I want a mod that uses the institute to "cure" supermutants with the syrum the Doc created. Wm
