Starting SS2

I have read through the installation guide and have blown away my old SS install, removed all mods, uninstalled FO4, re-installed FO4 from Steam and downloaded the mods that are required according to the guide.

My first question is now...do I start a new game with these mods active or do I deactivate all mods and start a game?

My second question is...the use of Place Everywhere is suggested, so is this the correct mod?

Thanks ahead of time.

First question: Kinda depends on your individual compute setup and how large your mod list is. Many folks can load their mod list and start the game without issues. But others have found they get better mileage if they, start the game with a smaller list and then after they exit vault 111 wait a couple minutes in-game, save & exit & activate the other mods. ALWAYS start the game with the main game files and patchs, also iirc it's best if frameworks are active from the get go too....
  1. Fallout 4 and DLCs
  2. Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
  3. HUDFramework
  4. Workshop Framework
Think the strongest recommendations have been to go-ahead and load most everything as normal at the start, except for the SS2 additional add-on mods (extra plots and such)... load those before you start building anything, but after you've been out of the vault for a bit.

Also, since your starting a fresh game.... make sure you DO NOT have any scraping mods, your game with be a lot better off without them. (they can not be safely removed once a game has been started). These two are safe and recommended to use:

Second question: Yes.... This, along with the 2 linked above, really makes placing plots and general settlement building much smoother.

Wow thanks Revived. So do NOT have SS2 active until after starting the game and playing a little while is what I am getting from your response, correct?

Also, my mod list isn't that long right now...lol. Just the 4 above and SS2 (adding the 2 you suggested as well)

I would also have SS2 at the start of the game.

Would suggest you add some of the other SS2 addons... they add a lot of verity and versatility to your settlement building. Add these after you are out of the vault...
