SS2 Game 3 Progress Summary

I did something similar for SS1/Conqueror:
  1. use prebuild city plans for numerous settlements (always Level 3),
  2. take out the guards and check for pathing/stuttering and general look/feel,
  3. keep existing city and then perform a liberation assault or
  4. replace the city plan and repeat 2 and 3 until something worked.

I feel by the time Chapter 2 drops there will be more city plans out by those awesome designers that were all over the place in SS1. Or at least I hope. KythrinaBarns and NDCowdy were two of my fav designers. And I am loving @Karvoc design for the Coastal Cottage. I just wish I saw the add-on before I did RR and Abernathy. If you want a lot non- food-water resources for you settlements you NEED his Coastal Cottage. Perfect industrial powerhouse. That settlement alone accounts for almost half all scrap production in my network by itself out of the box.

I played Conqueror extensively and two new methods of settlement conquest were added:
As far as I know, there are no Conqueror elements implemented in SS2 at this time. The latest patch added some functionality to the City Plan system. At this time, I believe the way to get back a settlement lost would be either vanilla means or using the 'claim workshop' function of WSFW.

I wonder if we'll get some teasers during the announced March 6th livestream?

For me, Conqueror was another KG "game changer" - a combination of personal guards and assault troops (15 max) that level up with experience, are recruited and trained at a settlement (Outpost), and are used to conquer/liberate settlements. And fully micro-manageable. For example, as the "general", I watched 3 personal guards in power armor shoot it out with 2 deathclaws. Now, if they will only self-repair their damaged power armor - difficult to get good help. :grin

Since the fundamental conqueror mechanics were developed and it was working "relatively well", I hope/assume, it will be folded into SS2 in the near future. Also, it does "fit-in" with a story arc/lore of liberating the Commonwealth from the Gunners and other miscreants.

Thanks for the note on the March 6th live stream.

After more than 320 hours, Level 66, 19 settlements, survival and 87 mods, SS2 etc continues to play fairly well on a pc. In addition to IDEKs Logistic Station 2 mod and the Flyable Personal Vertibird mod, I would also recommend SKKs Settlement Attack System mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/37393). One of the features of the SKK mod is - I now have BoS patrols between my settlements. Their dialogue is typical BoS, there are 4 BoS NPCs in a patrol, and they are equipped with body armor and lasers - no power armor yet (?).

Again thanks to KG and the gang.
