Some Building designs in Year Pack 1 do not complete their builds

Hi, I am new to SS, I noticed after installing all the year packs, that some of the author's building designs in year pack one, namely Lascus' designs do not complete even though I receive a notification of it completed. I began having an issue with the bed count, I went through several different suggestions by kinggath (like refreshing the plot, changing the plot then changing it back again... etc.). Nothing worked and it just looks like the design is incomplete (for example you see a box here and a sign there, but nothing else). Due to no bed rendering, its clear that the settlement didn't count the residential plot as a bed, consequentially I was short on beds and people incessantly complained about it. This is all taking place in tenpenny bluff. Am i missing an install for these year packs? did I need to install an additional mod to make the designs compatible and finished?

I currently have installed the 3 in 1 sim settlement and the year packs as well as conqueror if that helps.
 
Can you give the name of the plot please.

its a residential plot... sorry and its Tenpines Bluff. I wasn't thinking when i wrote that.

oh you mean the actual name of the specific plot? its every residential plot made by lascus and sirlach if thats what you mean.

Lascus' nexus download is call "Simple Living"

thank you, i will give it a try!

after two hours of moving the load order I can tell you that it didn't help. beds and other furniture are not loading into these plot designs by Lascus

I'm just building one now to check it out. I'm at Sunshine Tidings, but location shouldn't make a difference.

Edit: Single Room built, with bed ok.
 
well crap... i have no clue how to fix this... should I just uninstall year pack 1 and anything with lascus? I dont really want to do that, but I am not sure the issue here
 
I would just reinstall the simple living one. Make sure thats after the Mega packs. Then re try it. I dont have many mods installed, coz I only use the game to test my stuff, but when I checked, simple living was after the MegaPacks.

On a side note Robotsmell, I am trying to do the bunker house, but those little circles aren't helping to connect the interior residential plot and the only thing that shows up for the help bunkhouse is the scaffolding and one wood floor panel. I saw a video on nexus that showed two wood floor panels for both levels. so I am not sure if this has to do with the designs not rendering everything.

Try using the skin change instead. That should help you more than the helper plot. The circle things are only a guide. The floor is meant to be the snap reference, but I have seen its not that good if you don't get your position right. I will be removing the helper plot in my next update. I have not yet failed to build it using the skin change. Although it can still be "Tricky".
 
Go to the ASAM sensor and select activate. Scroll down to customize plot. Select change building skin. Select RS Bunkhouse Snap Help Skin on left. select accept. Confirm trade. Then after conform, go back. Building will re render with the helper skin. It will take a moment. Nothing appears to happen, but bear with it. After a while, the built building will disappear. After you have placed your interior plots. Go back to the ASAM and remove the skin.
 
What mod manager are you using?

If your using Vortex it uses LOOT internally to do the sorting for you automatically.
If your using MO2 you can download loot separately and run it as a Tool in MO2.

Both will also report any incompatibilities or dirty mods for you to clean.

Also briefly looking at your LO I would highly suggest you remove Scrap Everything since you already have Place Everywhere that can do the same thing and less likely to break.
 
Hi Binary, looks like scrap everything and place everywhere do not conflict. at least i cant find anywhere where that says they do, and I have been using them together for years. Also, place everywhere doesn't scrap everything, does it, correct me if im wrong, i wouldn't mind getting rid of a mod that i dont need.

I found the problem to be that i haven't updated my fose or sim settlements, or just about anything else. it was crashing the game, so I went through all my mods and updated them. things seem to be working now.

Apologies. I didn't imply Place Everywhere and Scrap Everything clashes. I meant they do the same thing. Pressing INSERT while using Place should allow you to select and scrap anything. I can't recall if I enabled it in my INI but it's on all the time for me either way.

Scrap Everything clashes with most word spaces as it removes records. Also if you look at the Nexus page for it as well as LOOT it has to be loaded last in your load order for this reason otherwise other mods overrides it's changes.
 
The important difference between Place Everywhere and Scrap Everything with regards to scrapping; is that Place Everywhere lets you scrap everything that is safe to scrap. Scrap Everything turns off pre-combines which allows you to scrap things never meant to be scrapped. This means that city plans will remove large items such as buildings and roads that were integral to the design. Pre-combines being disabled will also give you a major hit to game performance.
