Some AddOns not showing

Sorry if this post is redundant, I have seen people posting similar problems on various places but never found one that was actually solved, so here goes: I have all three mega packs, plus Junk Town and Wasteland Ventures. The thing is, mega pack 1 and JT are showing, while the rest are not. I tried manual install, still no win. Also have Workshop Framework, tried moving it around load list, no luck. Has someone solved this relatively rare but not unique problem? Thanks in advance.

I have encountered this and used one or all of the below to resolve.

Reload the game.
test
Wait - Wait and Wait - This gives the menu time to populate
test
Manual reinstall

The thing with me and my game the menus not populating was not the root problem it was just a symptom.

The three main problems:
a glitched install - if your connection is bad even with a manual install this could still be a problem.
Or your scripts are backed up
Or your save file has in some way been corrupted.

I am running all the mods you listed, everything is current, and my menus are fine.

Like you said a manual install is a normal recommendation.

if that does not work then you can try checking your scripts:

Wow thanks for the lightning fast reply! As for waiting - i've played for hours like this so that's not the issue, gonna try Fallrim or something other from the plethora of tools you recommended. If that doesn't work i'll probably try mod by mod on the next playthrough. In any case, thanks a bunch for the feedback!

Hope @Caitif responds to this with the outcome results of testing etc. Strange that the MP stuff doesn't show up. I have Y1 & Y2, and it works ok for me. And quite a few of the actual add on packs directly.

Yeah it seems it works for most people but not all, I guess that's modding for ya, especially with Beth games, pretty unpredictable. Anyway, fallrim didn't show anything wrong, and like I said I'll do the rest on a next playthrough, I'd rather just play right now, but when I do I'll be sure to share the outcome. If there's one thing I hate on these kinds of forums it's when people write " nvm I solved it" and don't say how, so I'll make sure not to be one of them :)

Thank you. Appreciate it.

@Caitif Just to check, what version of Sim Settlements are you using? And what version of Wasteland Venturers (and is it the separate or the all-in-one version of WV?)

SS 4.0.0a three-in-one
Wasteland Venturers all-in-one 8.0.0
Hmm I just noticed SS latest version is 4.2.3, though it was uploaded before I downloaded SS. Could have Vortex downloaded an older version, or is it just a labeling error? Could there be the problem? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm not as proficient in this as I'd like.

Both MegaPacks 2 & 3 and Wasteland Venturers v8.0.0 require the latest version of Fallout 4 (or at least the November patch, version 1.10.162). Sim Settlements version 4.2.1 and later also requires this, so if your version of the game is older and you are playing on SS v4.0.0a that would explain why you can't see the other mods in game.

To check what version of the game you are on:
With the Fallout 4 game actually running, hit ESC to bring up the main in-game menu. Click on SETTINGS. The version number is in the lower right of the Settings menu. If it's 1.10.138 or lower you will have to either update the game or use older versions of SS and the addons.

Cheers, what an oversight on my part, gonna see if that fixes things. Thanks for holding my hand.

If the version thing is the cause, it's actually not that easy to figure out on one's own. The November patch is to my knowledge, apart from the Creation Club updates breaking F4SE, the first time that Bethesda did a change that made new or updated mods flat out incompatible with old versions of the game.

Yeah, I always delayed updating to wait for new version of F4SE, guess I forgot since I haven't played a few years. Anyway, the pandemic has thrown some new duties at my job, so I'm not gonna have much time for all this in the forseeable future, if anyone is interested in the outcome I will post it eventually. Thanks to everyone and stay safe!

Well, if anyone is still interested in this thread, yes, the combination of update and manual install worked...mostly. The plots that were problematic sometimes show up, sometimes not. Good enough for me! Anyway, again, thanks to everyone, be well!
