Sim Settlements Starfield?

Any plans for something like this? I saw that Starfield has outposts with crew and buildings and stuff. Could have sim settlements plots that can produce weapons, ship parts, etc by extracting planet resources.

Imagine building large settlements with colonists, securing food production and other needs. Then using them to produce goods

i think this has been addressed before, but in short we have no idea what the next bethesda engine be like under the covers.

if there is enough similarity, i'm sure there will be some effort to port mods, just as there was effort to cross-port mods from Fallout 3 to Skyrim to Fallout 4, but as i understand it the outpost mechanics in starfield aren't directly analogous to the settlements in FO4.

who knows? Todd's been wrong before.
 
Sorry to Necro this post, but hey, it applies. I haven't looked too deeply, this is the first post I've seen on this subject. Any news on Sim Settlements coming to Starfield? I personally Love Sim Settlements, and would love to see it come to FO4. The outpost system in Starfield is... not dissimilar to Fallout sadly. Fairly meaningless in the grand scheme. Bringing Sim Settlements would certainly bring meaning to the outposts.

We still do not know when Bethesda will release modding tools like the Creation Kit for Starfield. Pretty hard to make any guesses about anything until then. Also there will probably be lots of DLC, so Starfield as it is is probably not complete.

That is fair. They did say they would release the modding tools rather quickly, so there is that to look forward to.
 
"Rather quickly" can be a year instead of 5 :)
Everyone is asking this but it would be a big project that needs dozens of people, for a long long time. And SS2 itself isn't completely perfect yet so there will be a few patches and post-launch content until it's more or less done with.
