Sim Settlement and Fallout76?

Hello everyone;

As fantastic as Sim Settlements has been, keeping Fallout 4 live long past it's shelf date, could we be seeing this wonderful modding come up in Fallout76?

Has Kinggath worked with Bethesda on this in the past? If they have half a brain they would hire Kinggath or license the rights to his mod for their new game!
Can you imagine just how wild the settlements would be with multiple players building?!?
I am going have to buy a new gaming rig!

Todd Howard has stated that "modding" will not be within the release but is something they would like to support sometime in the future -- and it would involve "private" Fallout 76 servers.

And by the looks of things, the multi player build limit is pretty small. Which since the camps are pack able..is understandable.

But my worry is more then that, Its Online, is that such a good thing?
Will it be prone to cheats/modders like a few other games?
Rather then exploring, will you spend most of you time with a few nutjobs who just want to kill you all the time?
OR will it be more fun as you can go private and just play with friends, but then again

WHAT IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY FRIENDS?

FO76 looks interesting, but - it just doesn't excite me. I like a lot of the features, but I just can't get into no (Human) NPC's, and multiplayer has never been my thing anyway.

But there's so much stuff that looks like it might be great when rolled into Fallout 5, so I wish it well.

It would really depend on if they fixed some things with the engine. Rise of the Commonwealth showed me some serious game engine limitations that I don't want to butt heads with again in a multiplayer arena.

If I ever mod F76, it will be with the goal of creating a persistent private world for friends to play in together - none of this random server non-sense with settlements appearing and disappearing all the time.

since I announced I was to scared to look into Fallout 76 as I fear if they get it wrong, it might be the death of Fallout (which is possible), I seem to have a lot of people comforting me in my time of despair, I have been told

The engine will be "new". The Creation Engine with foundations of the Gamebryo engine all the way back since Morrorwind will be made from the ground up. So it will be a new engine with familiarity.
So here's hoping

If Bethesda officially announce that it's possible to play Co-Op on a private server with just friends and has mod support in the plans, it'll be an instant buy for me. The only thing that could immediately make Sim Settlements better for me right now is if I could build things with my partner in multiplayer!

If they decide to try and cash in on the whole Battle Royale craze and make Fallout 76 into a perma-PVP online matchmaking system with no private servers, I'll probably ignore it until they either change it or it's 10$ as a GOTY in a few years. Or wait for Elder Scrolls VI.
It's possible to have fun in such environments, but my personal experience trying to Co-Op in GTAV:Online is that for every two chill dudes, you wind up with a dozen griefers, trolls and hackers.
