My Mistress of The Wastelands has been real busy building up her Nuka World settlements!
Here are some photos of Nuka Red Rocket & Nuka Bottling Plant - over 100 or so plots at each, using all available AddOns. 20170524110336_1.jpg 20170524110518_1.jpg 20170524110621_1.jpg
Had to knock down a Fallon's or two after seeing this.. thanks for the T square..! 20170524173949_1.jpg

What a wonderful ramshackle town! Great seeing the buildings we made in your games :) I see the conundrum with the tree house, though. We added soil under to avoid floating, but then you get clipping instead. Poor settlers in the alley will have to jump. What do you think works best - the shallow ground or the big (as in here)?

Thanks! Yeah, well - they can use the stairs and go around ;) some of the 'hill' also shows under the floor and looks like its floating in the first image of the Bottling plant (left side partly covered by the HUD). I like the hill concept used in the Tree House & Molerat Farm - Is there a way to stop it from rendering once it intersects at the floor object, so it doesn't appear to float underneath?

Yes, we did that initially but then people had problems using the nonfoundation (floating) and thought it looked odd on top of the wooden one ... Hm. Perhaps two versions and be explicit in the name which is what?

There is a piece of ground that works really well. do a search for Island in the object window. Then you can use the other dirt assets and adjust their Y Rotational axis to keep the sprawl from getting too much. Check out my Fish farm as an example.

Yes, it's actually the island-mesh underneath in the picture. I like that one, it works great unless placed next to a lower level where it sprawls a bit, or too high so settlers need ladders.
Sorry to hog your thread, BurntHostage, we just learn a lot from seeing how the buildings get used:ok

Not a problem!!Anything I can do to help advance Sim Settlements!
I am a habitual Beta-tester at work, so it's all good to me!!

Let me know if there are any view you'd be interested in - like another angle for one of the above pix, or how one plot develops alongside another type ..

I'm curious, how do Altairp's molerats and the ones from my farm get along? I hope mine don't eat his.

Haha!! They don't seem to mind each other so far.

But the ones in the large farm you can see at the bottling plant keep going feral..!
Which is why you see so many defenses and the sandbag plot next to the farm!
(Edit: the tree is blocking the view of that mole rat farm at the center of the first bottling plant pic.. I'll post another pic centered on the farm itself. But it is good entertainment watching the settlers etc chase down the renegades Edit2: pix att20170526113611_1.jpg 20170526113717_1.jpg )

Im using a settler mod that jumped it to 50, 100 & above. How many settlers do you have in the communities you've built?
here's the population mod with thanks to Puma of the Nexus for its wonderful creation. It caps at a massive 999 settlers ( your choice of cap below that ) I'm using 50 pop per settlement.

The height restriction unlocked mod is here, with extremely big thanks to BetaVirus of the Nexus. It caps at 326 wooden stair cases or 200 stories tall. He has also
HE HAS ADDED A NEW OPTIONAL TEST FILE FOR HEIGHT OF 9000 / 9999 and 73600, yes you read correctly

Hey Rhino - my largest Vault 85 has 100 settlers.

I don't use any other settlement mods.. but I did jack up Sheeana's charisma, which enables larger populations (just look at her, what a knockout :)). I doubt my PC could handle anything larger - I CTD often around large settlements

The 2 Nuka world ones have around 70-80 - I've been sending them settlers from my older settlements that don't use Sim plots to beef them up and get them working more plots.

Sheeana has some bonuses (she's pretty well OP)...
but afraid the huge population is causing my CTDs every so often...
she's gonna need to go on a few killing sprees..

man, i can't wait to actually get something decent enough to show on the forums. the a question about the molerat farm, is the sign supposed to actually phase in and out of reality? the one I have in my sanctuary hills settlement seems to be phasing in order to avoid me reading it....
