Provided that the building material difficulty settings for city upgrades is enabled, Sim Settlements incentivizes players to scrap a lot items. With a large amount of scrapping comes a lot of notifications:
- 10mm Pistol removed
- 2 steel added
- 1 spring added
- and so on
If you scrap a lot of items in a short period of time the notifications system gets overloaded and you end being unable to receive any notifications of any kind unless the game is reloaded. Not even survival needs notifications. The same thing can happen if you craft too many items in a short period of time.
My suggestion is that the base game scripts for scrapping and crafting should be updated to be able to toggle the "item added" and "item removed" notifications. They are pointless since you are presented with the items that you will relieve before scrapping or the items that will be removed before crafting.
I just wanted to get this idea out there as a feature that could be provided by a separate mod or as a built-in feature for Sim Settlements, or maybe even the Workshop Framework.
