sanctuary siren

This has been brought up before, but it's still happening. I'm using the RotC Sanctuary plan. The dang siren is constantly going off. If I turn it off, it just turns back on a minute later. I had to disable it. Also, when the siren turns on, many (all?) of the settlers run to the siren location. I thought it heralded an attack on Sanctuary, so the settlers aren't acting appropriately as they should be going to defensive positions? Also, there's never an actual attack.

So, I had this problem. What I did to solve it was to first turn the siren off, then quickly scrap it. I found that if you just try to scrap it the siren doesn't stop. This has worked for me with RotC plans at both Sanctuary and Abernathy. I've never had the siren problem in any other RotC plans I've used. Good luck!

Sorry to necro a thread but I wanted to say that this also worked for me, so if anyone else is having this issue, try it.
Console command "tcl" (no quotes) will toggle clipping so you can fly up to a siren that's hard to reach.
