Closed Sanctuary not working with Sim Settlements

For some reason, Sanctuary is not assigning people or keeping them assigned if i manually asign them to anything related to sim settlements.

Had the same issue with it. My guess is the "Mama" with her special chair which conflict in some kind.
 
shot in the dark here, but have you accepted prestons request to join them and started what his unimportant faces name to build up sanctuary? If not you dont own them yet.
 
also spring cleaning is on the "do not fly" list. Its been grounded. ied try disabling the snadbox as well
 
Is the build up sanctuary thing before or after you goto tenpines bluff? if so, ive yet to goto the death trap (corvega thing)

I also have about 5-6 other "Settler" that wont have anything to do with sim either.
 
My map would be open, Sanctuary is mine to handle and rebuild. I have around 12 settlers right now, but at the pipboy the messages shows up most of the time there are beds missing. Same with Convenant.

Perhaps it's the two robots?
 
Spring Cleaning is fine. It can just conflict with your ability to sink the plots into the ground- doesn't have any other problems i'm aware of.
 
None of the mods on your list are screaming at me. Can you download a save file from the nexus and see if it works for you? That should be a clear indicator if a mod is causing the problem- then you just have to do A/B testing to find the problem.

If that save doesn't have the issue with your load order, then it means your save file has an issue. Can usually be repaired with fallrim tools if that's the case.

If you load with only Sim Settlements in that downloaded save, do the NPCs auto-assign? (You'll have to sleep for two hours to trigger the next auto-assignment loop).
 
Hm doesnt look like it, with only the DLC and SimSettlements.esm on, i still have 8 settlers and only 5 beds according to it. i slept for 2 hours and waited 5 min to see if it changed but it didnt.

Looking at the menu more, what does Auto Assign Away From Beds / Work Objects mean?

Auto Assign Away From allows Sim Settlements to pull people away from vanilla objects.
 
Kind of weird someone said mama's chair. I have been putzing around waiting for Horizon upcomings, for the first time ever, telling mama no to the jet, she has become unassignable. I have always been able to get her and the other museum survivors assigned with no problem (Preston only after he is available as companion/ditto for codsworth).

I have only one time gave mama the jet and built her chair. She was then assigned by game to the chair. I was able to manually assign her after that to a food plot, per usual.

I have not played FO4 much over the past week... ie Horizon 1.1, Pilgrim etc... using SimSettlements 1.1.8 with whatever addon's were out last week. Hard to tell now what versions were then as most of the packs have had a few updates since then.

Maybe it lies somewhere with mama in the vanilla game and chair... something I have not ever had an issue with until last weekend.

the mama murphy quest bugs out on me to. haha got it at starlight and the junky walked all the way from sanctuary. But now i just ignore it if i get it.
 
Well mama isnt the only npc who wont auto assign to anything for me. i made a new game with only DLC + Sim Settlements and a few sim settlement addons and they still wont auto assign for the most part. 1-2 auto assigned but the rest just walk around doing nothing and the assignment menus dont show anything
 
Turn on Auto Assign Away From Beds, Auto Assign Away From Work Objects, and Auto Assign Unique NPCs- then sleep two hours.
