Old Post ROTC missing walls

I just downloaded and started using sim settlements. I got the three in one pack with ROTC and industrial. I am on the XBox one.

I have a few questions.
1) Once I installed this, I lost all walls, roofs and floors from my workshop build. Is this normal? If so, how do I build my own things such as a storage area or house?
2) I set up the city manager in Starlight. It is going well, but they aren’t doing agriculture plots. What is the best option for this? Do I need to donate food? Place food in the workshop? Set up plots of my own?

Thank you,
Armand

If you use a city plan in a settlement that you have already built up, that will be scrapped, best to add your stuff to a city plan once its reached level 3.
Some settlements don't have farm plots ,so a supply line is needed ,or you could add plots or chang plots to farms

I was going to keep one settlement to build my things on without city planner. But when I went to build something, I no longer had the option to build walls, floors or roofs. I can do furniture, lights, containers, etc just not structures. I didn’t know if that was on purpose or if I messed something up.

When I've had menus missing in the workshop menus, this mod has helped to get the menus back: Settlement Menu Manager [xbox]. It has a holotape that you run to restore your workshop menus.
I'm on pc though, so someone else on xbox might hop in with better solutions for you.

(The menus are not supposed to be gone with Sim Settlements, so something went wrong)

Thank you. I’ll look into it tonight.

To this day, I find people not installing MCM or SMM ... they are almost a mainstay now... and even just having them for restoring vanilla menus is a godsend. Though I don't uninstall anything once I do a playthrough. If anything, I leave more uninstalled and add later if for some reason I really need it... best practice I think.

Do I want one or the other or both of them?

I would get both. Most mods are using MCM instead of holotapes... and Sim Settlements uses Settlement Menu Manager... plus other mods... it places new menu in many menu without conflicting or overwriting another menu icon... Mod Configuration Menu is for FO4 script exteneder, which many (most?) use with modding IMHO ... it's free and and doesn't use a mod spot in your load order...

Is the MCM only for PC? I’m an XBox player and not finding it for the XBox.

O opps I misread you pot
yeah SMM is the way to go ,has nice tool to fix broken menus :)

MCM needs the Fallout 4 script extender ,so not for xbox
