(ROTC) How many settlers for each city map?

20ish more or less. It varies. If you're spawning settlers, spawn in 15 and leave the beacon running so it finishes filling them in

Thank you, I haven't been able to spawn many in as I am on XBOX and have just been using Starlight Drive in and Red Rocket to spawn settlers and then sending them on up to Sanctuary.

if you want to spawn in settlers get the mod Cheat Terminal it adds a holotape that allows you to do alot of stuff but one of them is spawn in settlers

Are level 0 city able to support their said maximum limit? Or the game assumes the city upgrades as you gain more settlers

Yeah level 0 supports the max. In fact, the entire foundation level exists because we figured people would want to send a ton of settlers over right away and we didn't want them to have to wait weeks for an upgrade before they could find somewhere to live.

How the heck do you get 20 2x2 residential plots + jobs into Hangman's Alley? I'm waiting for it all to be more stable before installing ROTC and 3.0 so I'm holding off building in some places so I can see it all work!

So I have my max at Sanctuary apparently using the new SS recruitment, but there are still unassigned plots. Will there be unassigned plots?

Doubly you don't. kinggath has developed interior plots (fitting into 2x1) and most of the RotC settlements are full of buildings designed exclusively for the mod which then use the interior plots. And/or make use of existing buildings, interior plots are placed in the undestroyed Sanctuary buildings, The Slog's main building gets interior walls and doors and is seperated into smaller rooms and so on. And Hangman's Alley limit seems to be only 11 settlers, since space really is very limited. But it's a beautiful design nonetheless.

I don't think there should be. How many settlers do you have? I'm at 23 in Sanctuary and believe that might not be the max yet. I built a couple of martial plots myself which I haven't dared to tear down yet and are occupied, so it's no wonder I still have a couple of unassigned plots inside the fortress.

But I wonder about Hangman's Alley, I do think there are two or three more jobs than beds there.

There may end up one un-assigned job plot as the system is probably creating one for the Leader who doesn't need it (something I'll work out soon). One thing I'm going to do very soon (probably tomorrow after I get the 3.0.2 patch out), is post a list of the number of NPCs every settlement plan is designed for on the wiki - this will just be a stop-gap though.

Given all of the confusion with the upgrade requirements, it's clear the system isn't even close to intuitive enough, so my next moves after bug fixes are going to be to resolve that with some new options, default settings, UI elements and reports so that the city building experience is simple to understand and has the tools needed for those of you who want to dive in deep.

Yeah, I have Curie in my Sanctuary as leader, so she won't have a plot whether she's bot or synth, is that right? BTW, I have 25 people at Sanctuary, but only Curie as a bot.

25 sounds right. I think there are 23 or 24 beds/residential plot spaces in that design.

So SS RotC basically doesn't support increased settlers mods (50 in my case)? Just wondering, if I should uninstall it or not

The current plans are made to work on both PC and Xbox which can't handle 50 settlers real nice. The engine supports settlements bigger than the game can support however. Somebody would have to do a build and feed it through the coming toolkit to get it published.

But if I don't assign a leader and have sufficient plots, the number would be able to rise above that number, wouldn't it? At least when I send people there manually. I have torn down the whole of Sanctuary before, using scrap everything, before I installed the mod. I tried to install a leader, but probably due to the vanilla houses no longer being in place, strange things started to happen. Such as floating lights and other stuff.

Edit: I just let a leader set up county crossing. How does defence and water supply work. It looks nice and the HUD bars tell me, I got a sufficient supply of water (though there's no source) and a sufficient defence rating, though there's not a single turret in place.

ok, thx for reply, uninstalling it until supported =)

To be blunt: You're going to be waiting a while for the vanilla plans to support more settlers than they are.

There's nothing stopping you from growing your settlements, even ones based on the plan provided settlements. Add more plots and beds. It's that simple. The sim settlements engine absolutely supports settlements larger than we allowed in the vanilla city plans, the only question is how much can your computer handle? That's the limit to worry about.

And living conditions. You could go all Hong Kong on your settlers and make them live in cages, but what kind of quality of life is that? I think the RotC approach is great, places people actually like living in.

Just think of the city plan as the beginning. That is, let your city upgrade to level 3, and, then once it is completed, you're free to scrap and build on or around it as much as you please -- make levels 4, 5, and 6!

I suggest something like Neheer's All Settlements Expanded to increase the build area.
