RoTC Crashing in 3.0.2.

If crashes still occur with all of your mods disabled, you can try using the cleaning features of Fallrim Tools. There's a clean menu with several options, I'd try running them on your save and then test your save again both with and without your mods installed.

@kinggath , thank you very much for looking into this. I also did some research and wanted to generate a log. It seems a bunch of errors are related to SS - maybe it's worth a look?

Were you able to get one of the cities to build? The errors are related to the scrap functions that run in the background.

@kinggath yes I did. Sanctuary got to lvl1 when this happened. When I went to visit, it crashed. Oberland station, my second ROTC city, upgraded just fine.

Sanctuary has been a problem for a lot of folks. I have one more major adjustment I can do to eliminate Sim Settlement's code from being the cause. Should have it in the next patch.

Until then, I would recommend checking out the Improving Performance page on the wiki.

I checked it, applied the Fallout4Custom.ini settings. I will also try Load accelerator, perhaps. I have 8GB RAM, gtx970 and an i5-4690k. Do you think those are necessary? Could this still be a performance issue?

I have a 4790K running at 4.8GHz and a 1080Ti and I still get performance issues.

The game's engine is one fickle beast.

@kinggath ok, this is strange. I could walk to Red Rocket before, and now it crashes there too. I have no SS buildings there. I also noticed a very similar crash when trying to scrap beds left from before uninstalling SS the first time. If needed, I can provide the Papyrus log and whatever else you require.

Any issues caused by Sim Settlements will only occur in settlements with a lot of plots. With the amount of problems you're having, I'd consider running a new save for a while to find out if this is just a load order problem. If you still have the problems on a fresh character, you'll know that some of your mods either aren't playing nice together or need to be re-organized in a different order.

If you don't have the problems on a new character, it might be best to finish that original character without Sim Settlements - and wait to play with SS until you're ready for a new run.

@kinggath , alright, I managed to get Red Rocket to work. I used the holotape to destroy all local plots. Now if only I could do this with Sanctuary...but I can't seem to get close enough.
