Huge thanks to @Gnofusnomuss @Iirly @jessechi @fiicus and @reina who did most of the work on the porting of these City Plans forward to SS2.

Congrats on 4 years!

I tried Sim Settlements 1 when it was somewhat new, and while I always liked the idea, I found that it was not for me. I'm glad I'm liking Sim Settlements 2 a lot more.

Kingrats! I mean, congrats on this 4 years.

one question though, are the plans included simple or complex versions or both? I recall complex plans would be released as separated addons I think

These are the simple versions. We will probably release the complex versions of a few of our favorites eventually, but its low priority currently.

Most of the IR buildings are included with SS2 as discoveries through the Mark 1 beacon system. Some of the other IR content will end up as part of future chapters.
I was referring to a building system with variations of choice. After all, as I understand it, they abandoned it by switching to the option with basic, advanced and high-tech?

So far so good tried a few of them tonight only had 1 settlement overland station fire off level 0 upgrade to level 1 with only 3 settlers and about 5 mins after I started the settlement. Other then that the other couple worked like normal after I shut off the auto city upgrades in the settings.

The code for SS1 IR style branching building plans is in SS2. Addon authors can use this. To my knowledge, no one has done so yet.

Well, in the first part, this was also done only by Kinggatt and MyTigio, who has not yet issued his add-on. Therefore, I expect it first of all from the main creator.)

Oh heck yeah let's goooo! Can't wait for beautiful city plans from the usual suspects e.g. SirLach, Yagisan, Kynthia, etc. Thank you so much Kinggath and SS team!

The SS2 ROTC mod page doesn't list any requirements or information on add-on packs that are needed to properly experience these plans, but when I go to select the ROTC plan for Tenpines, there is a message during the selection warning me that plugins are missing. Does anyone know what pack(s) are needed?

They should be self-sufficient, meaning they should require only SS2. Could be an issue with that particular plan.

I have to add the ability to look at the list of missing plugins, but SS2 will place plans even if you are missing some, it currently counts addon packs you are missing and my bet is that one of the folks doing the conversion had an addon pack building selected for one of the plots which you don't currently have.

That or the conversion accidentally flagged one of our utility mods as necessary.

The branching plans were an interesting experiment, and probably have some use-cases, which is why I coded in support for them, but for the design pattern we're focusing on for SS2 they are a bit cumbersome and as of current plans, won't be making a return in any of the official expansions.

One thing I have to fix still, is that if you exit Cinematic Mode before the city plan has fully completed placing the currently level, it can kick you back into it and make it seem like its upgrading again. Is that maybe what happened?

Otherwise, sounds like a major bug.

No this was a upgrade from 0 to 1 on the level it’s the only 1 so far that I’ve had do it and happiness was only around 50 with 3 settlers about a few mins after the base level went up. After that I turned off auto leveling in the settings. And again this was the oberland station settlement if it matters. Also I preload the workshop with 500 of each scrap material before starting a settlement not sure that matters or not though.

So a little update oberland was giving me issues so I scrapped it down to the bare settlement as it wouldn’t upgrade from level 1 to 2 even after sitting in the settlement for 30 mins and with more then double the needed supplies for upgrade. After scrapping it down and attempting to build the basic plan ( it took 10 mins till that fired off ) nothing would fire off or start up as far as plots went.

I found a fix for this though I went to wsfw into tools and to the settlement settings and reset the settlement. It rescrapped it back down to nothing again. Then gave a rebuild and info about it being good to go after that auto assignments started working again and the plots started working as well.

I have not tried the rotc settlement again after but I’m guessing that settlement was some how broken from the start but it’s working again and the wsfw settlement fix setting may be what’s needed for others having issues with plots not working or other stuff like that.

Any ideia why my settlements one leave level 0? I searched the forums for a solution and didnt find anythong :( what I am missing? There is some menu I didn'd find where i order the plan to upgrade? Cause the plots I can manually upgrade just fine!

Thank you in advance! :D

EDIT: here are all the SS2 gameplay options, it might help assisting :)

Two items to check: is settlement happiness consistently above 70-80%, and do you have enough scrap of each type? Since you are running the hardest "scrap components" setting rather than the easier "scrap categories", it may be waiting for specific amounts of scrap in particular categories to be accumulated. I don't know the exact scrap requirements for ROTC Sanctuary Level 1, but if you have any types of scrap that seem a bit low it may be worth grabbing a shipment from a vendor or trying to find another source of the material that you can donate to the city.

Alternately, change from "scrap components" to "scrap categories" in the options, toggle in/out of workshop mode so it refreshes your stockpile, and then give it an in-game day or two...you'll probably upgrade.
