Closed Reports bug w/"Exterminators" patch

After installing the Exterminators patch, there seems to be a bug with the REPORTS at the City Planners desk. I tried Citizens Need and Happiness Report and they both say the report is generating, but it doesn't produce the report while AT the desk. It appears after I've left and started walking around.
The Local Plot report does something different, it comes back with:

<Token.Name=WorkshopLocation> has
<Token.ValueInt=TotalPlots> plots

And there is no number next to the different plot types.

With the Holotape, it's the same minus the Local Plot report. (I don't remember if the Holotape had that option previously, but it doesn't now.)
 
Definitely a bug. The entire reports option shouldn't even appear on the pipboy and the one in the desk should have data.

To help narrow in on the issue, can you try fast travelling far away from the settlement then travelling back and see if that changes anything?
 
I can confirm this one. I thought it was just script lag at first, because it took forever for the Happiness / Citizen Needs reports to pop up, but I was definitely getting the same thing with the plot report.
 
This is very likely a side effect of the maintenance costs bug, it's most likely backing up the SimParent script. Definitely going to want to install 3.0.3b and then terminate the script with Fallrim Tools or roll back to your pre 3.0.3 save.

Steps for terminating offending script:

1. Download and install Fallrim Tools
2. Open Resaver.exe, load your latest save file.
3. Expand ActiveScripts, search for any entries of "SimSettlements:SimSettlementParent"
4. Expand each of those and look for "SetupCurrentMaintenanceCosts", if you find it, right click on the folder icon above it and choose terminate.
5. Click File->Save
6. Install 3.0.3b of Sim Settlements if you haven't already and load your save.

nuts.. resaver won't open recent saves, keeps telling me "error reading java heap space" :(

n/m - updated to latest Fallrim tools version posted 1/7/18, and it opened.. now to go messing around...

No, there should just be one instance of the parent quest that has a mention of "SetupCurrentMaintenanceCosts" under it.
 
@200 active scripts.. lots of them for the whirlibird sentry(?) Only a few sims parent scripts..

also deleted 2500 instances of that other script from Endless Warfare that was bloating my papy log..
 
Are you on the latest version of whirlibird? I thought they had fixed that issue - but if not, it should go on our list of problem mods.

Definitely terminate all of those whirlibird scripts.

Oh, sorry, I'm on XB1 so can't do that. I did try leaving and coming back to the settlement, but it didn't change anything. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

Sorry about that, the Xbox icon never shows up on my phone. Recommend rolling back to the last save you were using yesterday before about 3:00 PM CST (which is when I uploaded the 3.0.3 patch).

I have had some reports from my beta testers today that the plots report is only working some of the time. I'm still investigating.

Well, that didn't work.. deleting EW scripts made game unstable(er)... tried uninstall but game couldn't load 'corrupt' saves.. need to figure out how to get rid of EW..!
Anyone know if you can use resaver to strip out all EW references in order to load a save after uninstalling?

I terminated all EW & whirly active scripts, but game keeps crashing :( ...
 
You can try Fallrim's Clean menu to see if any of those functions make it useable.

Hey!!! Funny u mention posting an update - I used the clean tools and killed off a lot of scripts went from 195+ active to 12 and then killed off a few more. Then killed off thousands of unattached stuff. No more active EW scripts. I actually was able to spawn (exiting from the TARDIS) into Jamaica plain (currently upgrading into L2 sim city)and do a little tour, leave, run a quest again, go into interior spaces and leave and save to desktop without crashing!

My save went to 117MB (50 days of play), but python logs dropped way down.
I'd love to send to you if you have a Dropbox or something you can PM me.

Hope to play some more after eagles game :)

I wonder if you got hit by that bug that 3.0.3 was trying to address where the game would just keep creating items forever, it could cause massive save files. If you upload your save to dropbox.com, you can share it publicly and PM me a link here, I should be able to tell you why it's so huge pretty easily.

When I logged on last night, the Plots report was working, though the Needs and Happiness reports were still delayed. Also, Plot reports don't show up on the Pipboy anymore. (Which I think they weren't supposed to anyway.)

I also get this. I went straight from 3.02 to 3.03b, so I don't think it's related to the script madness since theoretically I should never have triggered any of that.
