Replacing Industrial plots with Advanced Industrial plots

In some of the city plans, it seems that the city plan includes default Industrial plots (the ones that can only have the Scrap Heap). Is there a way to replace the Industrial plots with Advanced Industrial plots in the same location?

You should be able to scrap the plot in build mode and then lay down an advanced industrial plot, however, it can look a bit finicky if you don't have Place Everywhere in order to correct positioning it.

That's kind of annoying. Any chance the mod can be patched to include city plans that place advanced instead of basic industrial plots? Like, just as a second option? Or perhaps an option in the city planner desk to replace all basic industrial plots with advanced ones?

Not including plots from Industrial Revolution was a deliberate choice. Kinggath did not want Rise to be dependent on IR, so space limited console players could run with just base Sim Settlements and Rise of the Commonwealth. If Advanced Industrial plots were included, they just wouldn't work unless someone had all three mods.

Once the API comes out later this month, add-on authors will be able to create their own new city plans and a significant percentage of them will likely make use of Advanced Industrial plots.

But couldn't there at least be an optional download or something? For those of us with all three plug-ins.

Once the API comes out, I'm sure there will be plenty of optional downloads of city plans to suit a myriad of desires and needs. Sim Settlements has an awesome add-on community.

Right now, however, the focus of dev team's limited resources seems to be on bug fixing, fleshing out features that didn't make the initial release, filling out new default city plans for the settlements that currently have none, and getting the API itself out there for add-on makers.
