Public Beta 2.2.3 and Workshop Framework 2.3.0

Just thought I would add some information on the "Moving Day" HQ radio problem when leaving the vault.
I tried several times to see what works and breaks it.

If I leave the vault in 1st person, it never seems to work correctly. First the PC looks up slightly and I hear the radio click on and then looks to the left and slightly down. I get Jakes "Testing..." but I am unable to respond. I can go into 3rd person but that then quits the conversation and there seems to be no way to progress the quest.

Now, I cannot reliably replicate the next attempts as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If I leave in 3rd person but with a weapon drawn, the conversation starts as normal, but I am unable to respond to Jake. I noticed this while holding the 10mm pistol. I also noticed that when holding a lazer rifle it temporarily hides the response options as PC moves the rifle to his side, but the options do reappear almost immediately when the animation is complete. It's as if the hitbox is obscured by the rifle for a moment.

If I leave in 3rd person and no weapon drawn, the quest has progressed every time (I tried about 3-4 times).
Thank you this post I'm about to do that mission and will put my weapon away and got to third person.

there was a mention that the Pip-Boy animation Known Issue was going to be fixed in this beta/release, however, i am having a hard time finding anything related to this specific issue in this thread. it looks like the HQ Radio conversation system is getting a pretty significant overhaul so it might moot the whole thing.

i figured it'd be better to ask and remove doubt them assume and something something donkey us both.

I have Engineering Energy of 109, 12 Settlements with at least one Hi-Tech Power plot (some have more), Power Transfer stations and Trade Agreements, and I have upgraded all the engineering rooms I can find in HQ command mode. The quest number has not moved from 350 since I first got the quest. What do I do next to progress the quest?
I never got any responses to this post. I still believe this is a Commonwealth Rising quest bug.

There's some type of 'z-fighting' in this room along with missing textures?

Nothing like that for me in that room, nor any other that I have noticed. I am on 2.2.3 v3 Beta with HQ fully upgraded.. Perhaps your issue is unique to that specific scene.

So far, it's this room only. I've skimmed posts by others who mentioned a 'purple void' in a room- I'm wondering if this is what they're seeing.

I've completed that quest on stream, and many others have as well - so I know the quest works - but the shared resource system has been quirky. There is a shared resource bug that I fixed this afternoon that might be the cause for you - so hopefully tomorrow's build will prove better for you.

Hmm - I wonder if maybe cleaning that room disables a wall.
I'm not sure just yet. It does look a lot like what you would see with a pre-combine problem when outdoors, yet inside. What's also interesting is- when I try and enter the comm room, the door is open, but there's an invisible wall(thinks the door is closed even though both are open and you can see the room from from doorway). The way around this is to close then reopen the doors, then you can enter normally. I've only noticed this when doing "How to HQ" as when taking GNN this wasn't an issue, I think, because the door started off closed. So, what would happen if the room was modified dynamically(as if the doors were closed), but they were actually open. That would de-sync the door system between what you see and what the door toggle state actually is? That would be my initial guess.

I'm starting to work on the plugin parsing function to help track down some of these problems- or a least give it my best shot and see if I can, and hopefully tie it into a help framework somehow as I go(which would allow configuring a 'one-click' check for issues).

Here's another z-fighting(mesh of screen vs. the wall mesh) example. Maybe if the screen's mesh was out just a pixel or two from the wall?

I'm unable to replicate that. Given how dark the lighting is in your screenshot, I'm guessing you are using a full load order, so there's possibly some sort of conflict there.

It may be related to some construction project on the main floor that I haven't done?

I was thinking that also, just not sure what yet. I've been in there before, just never noticed it until after cleaning and the room was 'built'. That's what was making me think a mesh or pre-combine somewhere was the culprit.

Got the first to mission from Mansfield and his outfit disappeared and the came back and there was a message on the left that he had been refreshed.

Not sure if it was after installing v2 or v3 went to talk to Nick and got mission to find him when I walked out got the talk to Abbott quest and also get the new newspaper. I then went to The Ron and got the naked Gunner mentioned last night during stream, talked to The Ron and when outside. Abbott will not talk to me nor can I get the next newspaper even thou NPC's comment about me being the guy in the newspaper. Install v4 hoping it would fix it but still cannot get those 2 done even tried the CC for Abbott's quest and it did not work.

Abbott's not someone we mess with, so might have to search around the net to see what's causing that for you.

just a little update, no report or so... it appears the new framework finally broke the curse of sanctuary.

i was going crazy with power objects and wires there.. expecting to find the usual unpowered objects when i return... but nada... everything green and powered.
