Question power and missing sensors

So I ran into a second problem after fixing the first one, using ROTC and city blueprints, ASAM sensors on the blueprint plots do not spawn, and that seems to make the settlers unable to build them, if I replace the plots they work fine, but are not connected to the power grid, how do I make them connect to the same power grid as the default plots

yes, it builds the whole thing, places plots, but no ASAM sensors on the plots themselves, so to refresh the plots I have to use the city manager holotape to refresh all plots. The settlers and NPCs could be assigned to plots but will not interact with the plots unless I replace them.

that really sounds odd because it should build the asam sensor before the plot builds.
not sure what to say to be honest - can you check your save with fallrim tools and look for any backed up scripts? thats about all i can suggest.

ok, then can you idle in the settlement for a bit - don't do anything, just stand there and stare at a wall for 30-60 minutes then see if anything changes?
what i am wondering is if the scripts need a bit more time to complete?
don't run around, don't engage with anyone/anything just let the game proceed as it needs to and see if you get any change, and the sensors eventually appear.

example of a agricultural default plot

okay, will test that

one other thing - i did this recently.
i was just idling in homeplate - but every 20 minutes or so, i'd open the console and save the game with something like - save fallrimcheck
then i'd load fallrim tools and open that save - and just look at the script count.
over time i saw the count decrease and eventually return to 0 active scripts. now my case was a bit extreme, it took 10 hours to get to that point....quite the effort.
you, hopefully, won't need to wait that long - but you can do that to see if waiting is having an effect or not.

There is an option to hide the ASAM sensors, maybe you activated it by mistake?
Asam sensors appear on the plots I place myself, and that option is set to visible, another problem I just noticed is that one of the settlers in Sanctuary can't be assigned to anything she just takes the "assign" command as a "go" command. and am using the ROTC default blueprint for sanctuary, the only town I have started on.

it honestly sounds like script lag to me. I should add that all the scrapping and placing down plots you're oing is only going to contribute to whatever is lagging, but there you go.
it seems you have a handle on it. good luck.

I have never experienced this, it has been delayed by 2-3 min but never missing.

humble suggestions:
1. Rebuild local data.
2. Refresh at a city-wide level
3. Check another CP at a different location. "Walk to that location"
4. Continue as you have?
5. Rollback and use a different plan?

If this takes place in more locations and different CP. That would not be good.

Please check all the mods involved and make sure they are up to date and the versions are synchronized.

am currently going over my mods, never thought about it before that maybe the old sim settlement mods might be causing problems, the ones that haven't been updated since 2017.....

alright, made another settlement in Starlight drive in, same thing happens, no ASAM sensors spawn, thinking of deleting my Data folder, reinstalling all the mods I've decided to keep and start a new game, for the fifth time (I tried 3 times to fix everything myself before coming here :P)

I did that myself about a month ago.

data - folder and all.
Don't forget things like the ini. folder

did this less than a week ago, literally took four days planning on what mods to get, arranging them in install order folders, checking what was needed to install them (most of them are cosmetic outfits, thinking maybe the discontinued Crafting Workbenches might have been bugging my game)

go over your mods - anything that hasn't been updated in a while and has a stack of bug reports, or people in the comments talking about bugs and no solutions offered - bin them. you have to be brutal because game stability is rare and easily lost thanks to a mod that worked at some point and then was left abandoned.
don't however, delete the archives - keep them - you can simply reinstall mods back under the management of your mod manager by telling it where the archives are located.
