I have been rummaging through the wiki and I'm not finding the info I need. I may be blind or just missing it. I would like a list of all the icons on my plot and what they mean please. And an issue, I see an option that I THINK makes them stay on whether or not I am in workshop mode. However when I activate it it just turns them all completely off. I would like them to be on all the time. Also the old ui that has the bars that show info about the settlement show for about 2 seconds and vanish. Those were really useful in Ss1 how can I make them stay on in Ss2. Sorry if these are questions that have been answered, but I am not finding the answers I need. Thank you to anyone who can help in advance.

That's as much info as the wiki has, which for this wiki is surprisingly a lot. You have some basic info on how things are setup for the icons, an icon legend list at the bottom with plot types, scrap component types etc. If you want to see individual plot class icons you have to look them up in their plot sub section (ex: all store type icons are in the commercial).

As for the issue, I started to see the same thing since my last update and I've seen others mention it somewhere else. Hopefully this si something that can be resolved quickly because those info are really helpful.

I would like to know how to keep the resource UI open as well.

I like it more when they show up only when i go in Workshop mode.1 why so you save some Frame as with them visible the entire time they use PC resources.2 is a perfect way to see if you have a script lag or the game is doing something that need time as the icons dont show up even in Workshop mode until the game catch up with the scripts.

If you go into MCM and set hotkeys for the various UI elements, you can turn them on and off as much as you want.
The only option I found actually turned off all the the Holo UI. I'll have a look again. I may have to start from scratch, yank out all my mods, and reinstall everything fresh cause I feel like there is stuff my game should be doing with this and a couple other mods that it's just not doing. which is weird, cause i have changed nothing, just started a fresh play through.

For me at least, the first sub-menu under SS2 in the MCM screen is Hotkeys. I didn't even try fiddling with the other settings (the ones also in the holotape), due to how frequently those have just not plain not done what they say they do. I have the 'bars' set as B, and the Resources box as N.

You must look in the Holotype to turn them on Perma. For some strange reason the option you find in the Holotype are not the same you find under MCM

The top row is the Type of plot icon, the class icon, and level.
The second row is the number of occupants.
The third row is upgrade and operating costs needs.

The Icon boxes have a random issue of lining up. Refreshing the plot can fix it. I brought the issue up in the official bugs and was told they have rewritten and checked the code multiple times.

I have issue with the Holo Icons because they work when they want after the first time you close the workshop mode. If you open and close multiple times forget it.

The other problem I have is no resource for operating costs is the same as resources needed to upgrade. For example if I lack water for my farm I cna not tell because the two icons are the same.

I leave them on and they still don't work all the time. Just empty colored squares

That is what i write above when the game have lags from scripts the icons don't load right or don't show up.Its a good way to see if is better to stay in some edge and let pass some minute looking at the ground away from the settlement.

For me most are okay but some plots have misaligned symbols
Sometimes they dont show at all and I am unable to fly
leaving WS mode and entering again and fly is fixed or not. no idea why.
the misaligned symbols only happen to few plots but always to the same, so I assume its a plot thing
