Hello Wasteland Wanders

Looking for idea's on guides you would like to see in the Education Vault, but hopefully if this works, rather then a long drawn out number of posts, hopefully a poll might work.

Please make the effort to take part, as SS and the new DLC continues, so do we hope to build a strong support system her in the forum

NOTE: I am happy to add suggestion to the poll, but mail me direct as I don't want ideas getting lost in pages of posts.

Thank you, its a great guide, I mean that. I have m,ade one change and notified you of it, I just changed your warning to red and underlined it. I am a mad highlighter :)

If you have any more guides, please write them lol.

I would love to see the Educational vault packed and anyone who writes a guide is welcome, now that i know how to move it, so the post stays in their name :)

@damanding, slow as I am, I just realised I can trasnsfer over any guide written in the forum to the vault section, retaining the original author which will make it so much easier, then having to give permissions.

Due to this, i will be asking all authors that have made a guide but is under my post to copy and past theirs back to one in the general forum, I can then move this back to the vault, retaining their name on the guide.

Thats my work this evening.

This will make it so much easier now as anyone can create a guide in the General section (Guide) and I can move it in full :)

I am a hppy Wasteland Wander but slightly sad at how silly I have been

Oh and I'll probably do a short guide on fixing workshop menu issues because its something I know *really really really* well and have to deal with all the bloody freaking time. >.>
Please do.

Looking to create links within the Wiki too, so these guides are more accessable. I have checked the Ed Vault and it is readable by non members, which means we can tie the Wiki and Ed Vault with ease.

Yeah but then they can't edit it later, a moderator would have to do it. Might as well give them permissions. :nerd:

That is so true.

Once I have the guides in my name transfers to theirs and back over I can give you a list of the people that will need permissions via pm.

I hope then with these permissions then can not only edit but add more

Based on the poll data so far, my current plans for articles are 1) RotC Mechanics, 2) Setting up the Supplemental Mods for SS (HUD Framework, SMM, etc), 3) Determining Mod Compatability.

I've started the RotC article and have a working outline (mostly starting there because I had already started). That one should come out a bit after Conqueror drops (likely next week). I'll need a bit of expert feedback on the other two.

Oh, and the Conqueror stuff.

SO. MUCH. STUFF.

I've added a section to the Wiki with a link to the In-Depth articles index, as well as selected articles, I thought would be the most likely to interest non-forum members.

I'll also link them to appropriate subsections.

Now, I'd caution everyone that people who aren't logged into simsettlements.com cannot see the full-sized images in Educational Vault posts at the moment, which can be an issue for some Educational Vault articles if we are also targeting non-members. Thus, we may want to consider what would be better in wiki format and what would be better in site article format.

Thank you, in my rush to do many things, I forgot to check the images, I will have a look to see if there is a workaround but it may need me to call in the big guns.
