I have run into a problem. I am using vs. 3.3.0a. I have tried to begin the "March to Quincy" with my Defense team made up of The Ron and a bunch of DC guards, DC Recruits and DC Mercenaries. As soon as Aiden, Jake and I meet up with them outside of HQ, they become hostile! As you can imagine, this makes the stage un playable. I have tried re-starting the save, moving back a save or 2 and we still have the same issue. Can someone help?

I am still having this issue after this update. I really could use a hand here.

I started another new playthrough using SS2 ACP, Ver 3.3.1. I just started How To HQ, and I'm stuck. When I add build Mansfield's office it says it was added to the list. But it doesn't build. I checked active list and it's not there. New bug?

Hey, I'm going to be investigating this tomorrow and I'll get back to you with my findings.

In the meantime, you can choose a different faction for Defense if you would like to continue.

Update: I could not replicate this. Are you running any mods that mess with Diamond City factions? Or did you commit a crime there recently, are they hostile in the city too or just the SS2 guys?

Are you playing on Hard Mode (components)? I am seeing reports that this can be causing an issue.

Nope, Category. Bringing up the resource panel at HQ shows 500 Logistic, 500 Scrap, and (0/0/67) for 10 Personnel under Mansfield. It acts like the build for his office is put into the que to be done. When I check the active projects, it reports there are none active. Yet Mansfields office is not built.

Correction, If I look in the correct que it shows I don't have enough facilities energy. Yet there is nothing else running, and I have all ten staff assigned to facilities for 63 points of facilities energy.

Thanks for the update. Have you tried running the quest fix in the holotape? Should be under: tools > advanced tools > quest fixes I believe. Sorry I am currently away from my PC, but I think there's an option there that recalculates the energy/staff for the HQ tutorial.

The quest fix is to ensure all 10 Personnel are at HQ. Running it resulted in the same 10 people in facilities for 63 facilities energy.
And it still won't build I checked everyone for disease too, and none have any.

I have had no problems with DC guards up until now. I have even completed Battle for Quincy on this playthrough before. I didn't use DC guards for the Defense team, tho. I fast travelled to DC just before this stage and no one attacked me. I can change factions but how? Do I go back to a save before and re-do the meeting? Or is there another way to change squads?
And thanks for the help.

Unfortunately yes, you would need to reassign them during Call to Arms. I'm not sure how heavy your load order is, but if it's fairly light, we may be able to take a peek at it and see what's going on. Unfortunately if it's fairly modded though, we won't be able to check it. It definitely sounds like some kind of strange conflict, but I'll keep an eye out for other reports of this regardless. Just not something I've ever been able to replicate myself.

Ya, I have 281 plug-ins, but I have so far been able to get past most of the issues. I'll try to re-do Call to Arms and go from there. Thank you for getting back to me.

OK I re-assigned the defense team and all went well. I have a lot of DC guard stuff on my computer, but none active on this save. I wonder if that could....never mind. LOL
Thanks for the help.

Quick update:
I was able to get to get Mansfield's office to complete by changing the 'Commands Use Task List' setting from on to off.

Due to the issues I experienced with 3.3.0 I tried updating to 3.3.1 directly from 3.2.2, but now the new SS2 Ext quest does not trigger at all (no courier). Should I not skip 3.3.0 before updating to 3.3.1?

Whereabouts in the story are you? There are two trigger points for this quest:

- Some time after completing Internal Affairs, but before completing State of War.

- For saves that completed the whole questline before installing the patch containing the quest, it should trigger immediately.

If any of those DC guard mods have loose files, they may affect a game in progress even if the mod is not activated for that game. I tormented Pra over a SS1 mod because an old Crimsomrider mod I had never used in the current game had loose files and was making Pra's food objects fly off the screen sideways. I had to completely delete the Crimsomrider mod to make them stop doing that. This was even under MO2, as I recall.

I have been modding my game for years with this PC. I'm totally sure I have some crap on the files somewhere. Anyway, all is OK now, so I'd hate to try removing anything. Thanks for the interest.
