Patch 3.2.0 - Respect Your Limits

If you build a fresh plot and travel around a bit, does it have these issues?

Everything you’re describing sounds like the 3.1.6 issues where plots that had failed to ever initialize are being fixed.

My plots at County Crossing were all new (post 3.2.0 update) and seem to be fine. But Sanctuary (just SS) and Abernathy (RotC) and Starlight (SS) were pre-update and are all having issues with plots missing assets, random plots missing ASAMs, and plots reselecting what they are.
Mercury is retrograde - maybe that's it. This is how my week has gone. I think I need a break from Fallout anyway.
Update: The game has become unplayable. I can't be in the game for more than 10 minutes before it freezes up on me. This last test after it froze, I got the instant buzz crash and had to wipe all my saved data.

Started a new game. (Kind of forced to.) So far so good! Maybe there was some lack of backwards compatibility between the 3.1.6a and 3.2.0? Anyhow - spent the afternoon building up a new test character. Started Sanctuary as a RotC settlement. Just got access to Abernathy, but I'm not gonna push my luck. But so far, a little slow on some reports but otherwise fine.

Otherwhere...
Yikes, starting a new game? .. I had similar issues with 3.1.6 and had rolled back to 3.1.5, went to each of my dozen or so settlement and refreshed all plots and all seemed well, only took a long while LOL. Then a few thousand years later (so it seemed) I upgraded to 3.2.0 and slowly everything slowed and stopped. IDEKs Logistics computers reports everything as <Token= gobledy gook> and the designation devices started disappearing. Random ASM sensors missing. Beds going back to zero. We must have a similar specific multiple MOD variety conflict since this seems rare but it is FATAL to game play. I cant rollback to 3.1.5 for some reason anymore and kinda gave up on the game. Nexus will never activate it. Seems to be tricked by Bethesda Mods installed in game.

How can we compare our MODS to those that do not have this problem.

If everything is blowing up for you roy, I would check your save in Fallrim Tools - it will almost certainly be excessive ActiveScripts piling up.

That would indicate really heavy script load. The token things are for text replacement. Normally when you hit the [Information] button, a script runs that fills those in with meaningful information instead. Normally this happens almost immediately, but in some cases it's possible that this can take so long that the terminal times out and shows you the next page anyway.

I just improved the check for this in that menu, it should now display a warning instead of just showing you the un-text-replaced terminal page:
There was an error accessing information about this station. There appears to be very heavy script load at this time, which has prevented this function from completing in a timely manner.

This may be transient; try waiting around the settlement for a few minutes, outside of any menus, and try this function again later. This should, hopefully, allow your active scripts to clear up, which should allow this to be responsive again.

If this persists even after waiting about 15 minutes, you may want to either ask the author about this directly (IDEK/EyeDeck), or make a thread on the Sim Settlements help forum.

Thanks for the advice about ReSaver but that doesn't make a difference. Tried LOOT and ReSaver the first time this happened. Everything still slows down, stops and then goes backwards and IDEK logistic terminals reports everything as <token.value= {Some target value}> (ROTFL). Luckily I just tried again with Nexus and was able to roll back to 3.1.5 and load a save from before the "Reverse Time Warp". A very select few of us either have "unique" computer configurations or a unluckily mixed wrong set of Mods that cause weird things. I do like mods so it is probably the issue. IDEK issue is probably just a symptom of all the scripts stopping and seeming to run backwards. I would upload a save but they are too big. Thanks anyway for all the hard work you guys do!!!!!!

Oh, and I tried waiting for like an hour and not visiting settlements for another hour too. Seemed like it gave time for more to disappear. LOL. I can play with 3.1.5 normally now at least. Not a priority issue if there are bugs affecting dozens of players instead of 1 or two with this weird thing. I can at least play again.

Thanks for all the feedback. Just as a general reminder, please note the purpose of this thread was to make the announcement and provide information for the new patch. If you're having an issue you'd like the team to look into please start a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum of the Bug Report forum. Feedback here may be overlooked.

Thank you
