Patch 3.1.5 is available now!

Updates available for Sim Settlements & Rise of the Commonwealth.

- Adds Covenant city plan.

- Tons of new Dynamic Soundscape sounds to make your settlement feel more alive.

- All of the holotape Performance Options now apply to not just plots, but to any City Plans made with the Project Blueprint Tools which includes all of the Rise of the Commonwealth cities.

Any chance one of things you corrected but didn't list was that the Toolkit's upgrade plots to X console command would work as intended? I had the problem of telling a City Plan I was designing to upgrade to X, but the plots reverted from whatever level they were to level 1 and stayed that way.

Looks like something kicked in either way. The plots upgraded to lvl 3, but I had the following oddities:
1) None of the plots said they were lvl 3. Most said they were lvl 1 and a few said lvl 2, but all the plots were definitely lvl 3.
2) I had an advanced industrial that was lvl 2, and then started rebuilding but never quit. Once I refreshed it, it went back to lvl 1 and stayed there.

Should I have set the advanced to auto upgrade to permit the SetAll to work properly?

It should work for everything but advanced plots. Due to all of the requirements and locks on the advanced plots, it would require a substantial rewrite to allow that function to work on those.

Not sure if this is a new/old problem or it came with the update as i've not gotten this settlement this high yet. I just went into the game and it said a few settlements were waiting to upgrade. I have it set to not upgrade till I am there since I like to see the city changes. However this time it refused to update the settlement. This was in Sunshine Tidings Co-op, going from level 2 to level 3. It starts the process and takes me to the panoramic view, but nothing ever changes, and if I let it, it will keep me in the panoramic view forever, normally upgrades for me take about half a song in the panoramic view. I tried sleeping 24 hours and then doing it, also refreshing all plots, then refreshing the whole city from the ROtC city desk. Still didn't work. I tabbed out of the panormaic view and it plopped me down outside the city as though it had done the upgrade, then I went back into the city to get something and as I was moving around the city it started doing the upgrade. It finished it all within a min or two while I was standing there walking around the city.

I'm thinking minor problem if it isn't just me and some kind of weird script lag or something. Since it did finally finish, just not in the normal mode.

Anyway other than that I like the new variety of ambient sounds in the cities, the sounds before yes were getting a bit repetitive. :clap:clap

This is going to be a mechanic eventually, but I'm not currently focused on Industrial Revolution content. We'll be making a trip back there at some point to expand the content.

So, I was walking around in my Atom Cats settlement, upgrading and checking things out when out of nowhere I hear some random conversation. Thinking, wtf was that? Never heard that one before. 5 minutes later, more random dialog...something about humping a super mutant...I'm not sure...sure sounded like that's what he said? Haha...good stuff. Props to whoever did that. You guys are all awesome.

@kinggath i don't know what to do, after your new update ss does not work anymore. i removed fallout 4 100% and my saves and appdata, i reinstalled fallout 4, re-downloaded ss and tried a older version still nothing. and yes i tried with no mods other than ss. i love ss, i just don't know what to do. i've tried seeing if all mods were affected and no they work just fine, only ss

hey Kinggath it is hard to make that refresh a city and tears it down dont give scrap ? because with Rotc i think is too easy to make city you get the scrap + the settlers build by themself so you have plenty of "new" scrap and when you refresh you have more scrap too and for me make sense that the settlers used all the scrap for the building of the city so you are not supposed to have plenty of scrap in the workbench :p. maybe not a option for the core sim settlement but for those who want a more hardcore city management like maintenance cost is off by default but you can put on ? If is too complicated or dont fit your idea never mind i empty my workbench after the settlers tears it down with console command. I say that because in my first try with Rotc after 12 settlement i was with like 40-50k ressource from basic things and never got so much in all my playtrough so when i was questing i never pic scap because i have already so much by rotc scrapping.

A quick update from me on the CTD's I was having in .1.3 and .1.4. After installing the auto-save every 5 min in survival mod, I was able to auto-save right outside my Greygarden and try out different settings.

It looks like when turning off the additional lighting under performance options, that was all I needed to clear things up!

Before, I checked that my GPU memory wasn't being filled (40% of 8GB on nVidia 1070), but GPU activity would shoot up to 100% from being 40-50% as I would approach newly upgraded Lvl. 3 Greygarden. As I go over the railway bridge coming north from Oberland/Hangman's Alley, I would see things appear, lights would come on (during nighttime), then immediately crash. In the performance options, turning off the other top choices (textures, clutter) made no difference, but the additional lighting turned off is all it took to stop the crashing. I'M SO EXCITED and hopefully this is the end of those damn problems for me! :-D

@Karyusan Scrap should not be given from a refresh. I've tested this a ton and can't replicate it. Can you try clearing your workbench and doing a refresh to confirm this is what's filling up your workbench?

i did it now and you right is no more the case sorry i never read it in the patch note so my guess was this bug was here only got scrap from some container that was filled with some item probably cause the settlement was built some patch ago 3.1.3b ( this bug was here ). You did a so good work with the bug fix that i dont needed to refresh anymore after patch 3.1.3b so i presumed wrong my bad next time i will test it more even if is not mentioned to be fixed. But my first suggestion one option like maintenance cost for the scrap given from the first tear it down by the settlers ( make sens that they used it ) how do you think about that balance cause now we dont need scrap more than the one we need for upgrade, and if you built by yourself a city you need a tons of scrap vs settler build you need pretty much nothing just 2k wood for upgrade for lvl 1-2-3.

My thought was that the first tear down, the materials are used to build the foundation level. If you'd like to get that scrap yourself though, you can first use the Town Meeting Gavel to scrap the place - which DOES return scrap when used on a settlement not built by a City Plan.

yes same for me but i got the scrap with tears it down strange ... so is not supposed to happen ? nice to ears that x) i will try to build a new settlement to see.
Edit :Yep i did oberland and i got scrap but look like uncommon scrap and not wood steel etc so maybe is related to the bug that clear area that are not in the settlement. well ok so never mind you already did what i wanted x) just some bug like the same with scrapall command. so for now i will continue to delete the scrap i got from "the tear it down" cause is not intended.

I'm having issues where plots don't refresh completely. Refreshing in Sanctuary doesn't clear the old objects all the way and just fills in the few which were deleted or it doesn't complete adding objects so there's not even an ASAM sensor when it finishes. I carry the old "Immersion Breaker Breaker" for that but it doesn't help. Maybe there are just too many plots?

I have 50 settlers, added my own retaining wall to create a large flat brick paved surface where the slope down to the river happens, upgraded to GAI Hydroponics etc. It was my first settlement and was manually built starting before SS so I really went to town. haha.

I have several plots in Nordhagen level 1 that don’t show the asam sensors and needed a refresh. I was able to refresh all of them with the breaker tool but, never got the sensor after the refresh. One plot I was able to pickup, rebuild as different plot and set back in original spot was rebuilt with the missing sensor. I had the missing sensors before on the latest patch in different settlements but, they would show up after a few minutes of waiting around I guess after processing caught up.
