EDIT: Several folks have reported additional issues with resources, if you have the time, please try and repeat these issues in minimal load orders (basically Workshop Framework plus SS2) and send me the saves. I'd like to get to the bottom of what is causing these problems, and research saves will help a lot!

  • Fixed tons of quirks with the resource code! You should now see your settlements generating/spending resources you expect from the plots/items you have built.
  • The Ron now works with the mod Depravity! No more losing access to the settler recruitment service with that mod installed.
  • HUD resource data should now be more accurate and match all the various locations you can access info about a plot!
  • And loads more!

New playthrough on the way :D

First, let me warn you that I was never able to play a Bethesda game without carryweight cheat.. sorry. Anyway, what I do to balance this in SS2 is that I forbid myself to donate and play with max resources complexity.

So I'll be testing 2 things early on:
  • how the resources fell with industrial plots only (I know I'll be able to build more and upgrade faster due to the stupid amount of resources I have, but hey... better than nothing :P
  • I'll try once again to replicate the bug that used to broke Jake with depravity before 1.0.15c. In the previous playthrough it worked just fine, lets see what happens now.
Great work guys! :agree:

EDIT: once again, forgot the mod list...

Dunno what you changed for Ron, but definitely it fixed Jake too. 2 tries to replicate the bug (as I always did before) and both times Jake's working fine! :)

Will there be an update to Workshop Framework coming too? (I'm still only seeing 2.0.15a on Nexus).

No update to WSFW needed this patch.

Also - ugh... already had two people show me screenshots of numbers going negative. So I guess more digging in the bowels of the resource code again this cycle.

Xbox user here, after installing the latest update yesterday i get a popup warning saying WSFW is outdated and needs to be updated. Should i just ignore it? doesn't seem to be affecting my game or anything like that.

Hey hey, nice job with this patch :). I just have one issue with it:
"Fixed a bug that caused the Resource Panel to frequently change itself to the wrong frame, often displaying the more detailed complexity of resources than the player was actually using."
I never had this bug before, but since this patch it is a thing in my game :(. Set the one with four categories, but it shows me the more detailed one instead.

I'm getting the same message as well

I would recommend holding off on playing until Bethesda fixes the issue. WSFW is responsible for a lot of the systems that make SS2 tick, so being on an incorrect version could have lots of consequences that don't show up until later.

There is mention on their official Discord that they are aware of the problem, but I'm sure the more people dog-piling on them to complain of the problem, the more seriously they will take it. The issue has apparently been going on for months...

@Biglouie @AubreyG1989

There have been download issues / server issues on Bethesda.net. Here is what the Bethesda Community Manager has said on the #modding-news channel, on the Bethesda Game Studios Discord server has had to say recently. Hopefully it might be coming soon.

Long term service issues for Bethesda.net Mods will also be noted here. Although for more immediate information, please check https://bethesda.net/en/status or https://twitter.com/bethesdasupport
It may be worthwhile to keep an eye on those 2 links as well.

Same issue here. I also cannot start a new game.
