One Settler, Two Residential Plots

I have one settler who is occupying two residential lots. I built the lots and left the recruiting beacon on and left the settlement to do other things. I returned to the settlement after it had recruited a settler to see what he built and I found that the settler had built and was occupying two residential plots and one industrial plot. What do I do to fix this or will it work itself out as more settlers are recruited?

I have had the same problem I fixed it by building another residential plot and assigning the effected person to it.
Alternatively, you can use the "Town Gabble" to un-assign everybody but that can take a long time.

It can sometime happen i you have more than one auto assign function so check if the one in Workshop framework is still active

Turn off Auto Assign Beds and Food in WSFW.
